Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
My surgeon has advised me to go for 450s (thats grams not ccs) rather then 385s as he said when they are implanted they will look roughly a size smaller.
I have a very small frame boney on top so he suggested I have the anatomicals as I want the fullness at the top. I have also breastfed two children so even though im just an 34a cup there is a little "room" in my boobs at the top.
When I tried them on the looked gigantic!! but with clothes one they looked ok. I also tried them on with a naturally big boobed friend of mine who is a D cup and they didnt look that much different to hers.
Ideally I would like to be a D cup.
In my mind I think I should go for the smaller ones because of how they looked when i tried them on, and how huge they look in my underwear but I do hear a lot how people had wished theyd gone bigger and my surgeon says its the most complaint, it makes me wonder if I should just go for it...I really cant affored another op!, any advice?

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
I'm having this dilemma at the mo with 350cc and 400cc. I don't want to be massive so am thinking the 350cc but can't decide.
My bf keeps telling me though that the 400cc will be huge and anything is an improvement and that's the way to look at it. Which he's right I guess. I'm worried about ending up too big and not big enough lol

hi hun i asked to look a d im slim 9 stone 5 5 size 8/10 my surgeon recomnded 410 to look a d/dd even though i measure a 32f/ff i dont look that big i think i look a dd my friends say i look a e personally i would always go for the biggest but sum might argue with me on here about that at the end of day its up to you i think u def could look a d with a 385 and measure bigger but to avoid disapointment u would take the 450 but that at end day is up to you i had choice out of 380/410/460 i choose 410

I think like natalia says hun, it is almost always a case that you may technically measure a DD but augmented breast wont look as big as a natural DD. I measure a 32DD/E now but theres no way i look that big, maybe only look a C. I think you should go with what your surgeon suggests, after all he is the one with the experience. I dont think you would regret it if you went for the bigger option. Its totally your decision hun...a hard one at that, good luck tho, xxxxx

I don't wish I'd gone bigger now. They are perfect for my frame. I did get a little boobie greed at the beginning thinking "should I have gone bigger" but now i'm really happy. I had 340cc over taking me from a 32b - 32dd/e xxx

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
When i first joined a breast forum I joined an american one and the average size there was about 500cc which made me think I had stayed on the small side.
The original size I was going to have was 450cc. I wanted a full 34D small DD after my boobs had stayed smaller from breastfeeding. The PS told me a few days before surgery that they were no longer available and the two options I had were 410 and 460.
MY PS told me that because i was quite small, there might not be any room for 460's but he would see at the time of the operation. I ended up with 410's although I kept thinking about the 460's (booby greed), but I don't think now that 50cc would have been too much of a difference. I think maybe if I had insisted more on getting 460's I might have got them.. oh well

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
I was offered the choice of 300cc and 340cc MHPs. I tried to push my surgeon for bigger, 380cc, but he wasn't happy with it at all.
I'm glad I took the advice of my surgeon and went for the 340s. Any bigger and I'd feel too matronly, and smaller and I'd be disappointed.
If your PS has recommended a size, it's becasue he knows the look and the size you want. He's the pro, so it's best to listen to his advice.

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
Personally, I'm choosing to go with the highest amount my PS has offered me (but that's still only 240cc). It's actually still less than the cc's offered by other surgeons in consultations, which is part of the reason I feel comfortable going for it. I feel I'll be getting exactly what I want. But hey. I guess I won't know till later this year!
There is such a difference in average implant sizes between UK and USA women!
Particularly on this site, there are a lot of ladies who are getting in the 200's, which is positively teeeeny to the Americans.

Anatomicals will do the opposite, they wont give you upper pole fullness as they are sloped in shape and get fuller at the bottom and flatter at the topdanables wrote:I have a very small frame boney on top so he suggested I have the anatomicals as I want the fullness at the top

That's true, well spotted Nads.
It might be worth checking with your PS to ensure he knows exactly what you want, as anatomicals wont give you a full upper pole.

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
I had 250cc and im happy although i would have prefered a little bigger maybe 275s , like the ladies have said i measure a 32dd but only look a C cup so they will probs look smaller than they measure x

Was going to say this myself anatomicals give less fullness at the top and more at the bottom, strange that a ps would recommend them for fullness

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
Personally, I'm glad I didn't go any bigger... I too worry that I may look too matronly! My 385s took me from a 36aa/34a cup to a 36f/34ff and although I don't feel that big (my best friend says I look more like a d cup) I certainly would feel very self-conscious to be any bigger.
I also agree with the other girls about 'teardrop' or anatomical shaped implants. Surely they would give less upper pole fullness?

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
Yes definately worth checking. Maybe Danables meant 'I dont want' but they definately dont give much upper pole, i was offered them as i had no upper pole fullness and they would give a more natural slope. Round overs will give you the best upper poleRoxyChick wrote:nads wrote:Anatomicals will do the opposite, they wont give you upper pole fullness as they are sloped in shape and get fuller at the bottom and flatter at the topdanables wrote:I have a very small frame boney on top so he suggested I have the anatomicals as I want the fullness at the top

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
Sorry I dont think I worded that very well. What I said was that I didnt want the "posh" look and because Im so boney he said that I might see the top of the implant with the rounds and this way there would be a more natural looking sloap. Come to think of it I think this could be the reason he is recommending a larger size, to fill out the empty bit at the top but make sure that the top of the implant cannot be seen.

i do wish now that id gone a bit bigger, its surprising how quickly u get used to them! i had 260cc overs, i wanted 300cc but my ps advised against it cos she said id be at risk of rippling cos i was so small pre op xx

Do you know what projection your getting? PS went for the mid profiles as I said did not want the top of the implant visible as well but don't know if he misunderstood me :S. Mid profiles give a nice side cleavage though which I like xx

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
I'm really happy with the size that I had and wouldn't want to be any bigger, but also the size I had was the biggest my p/s said that I should have for my frame and measurements otherwise I'd have been at risk of rippling. At my consults I worried I wasn't going to be big enough and just before my op I worried I was going to be too big! Personally for me I found the sizers at the consult looked a pretty similar size to what I've ended up, but this isn't the same for everyone. I've gone from a 32b to currently 32dd (although still settling only 2 weeks p/o)
I had the same issue as you with that after breastfeeding I was left with empty skin at the top of my boobs, and I had rounds as my p/s said this would fill the top out more. I'm also very narrow and boney up top and had little breast tissue, but the rounds have given me a lovely shape and pleased to say I haven't got the 'posh' look! If you would like to have a look at my pics, let me know and I will PM you the password. xx

Re: Does anyone wish they'd gone bigger?
Hi, I had 260cc HP overs and I'm really glad I didn't get any bigger - in fact sometimes I wish I'd gone a little bit smaller as I wanted a full B or small C cup and I'm now a very full 32D/34C (depends on the bra). But they don't look big in clothes which I like! I can always wear a padded bra if I really want to show them off lol. Don't feel you have to go for the biggest - it depends what you look you want. And also, the bigger implants are more likely to give you complications...
