Uploaded first pic of boobs on avatar pleased but.

Hi girls,



I have uploaded a pic of me with my new and improved boobies. They are a huge improvement on what I had before as pre op they looked like empty large socks ie all skin due to huge weight loss. But and it's a big but that I can't stop thinking about and it is causing me to be me aware of my boobs than before my op, my nipple position is so high my bra is just about covering them!



I have aired my concerns to my ps and he says it's because my implant has kinda bottomed out due to my skin being so stretchy. However they were like it from the minute I took my dressings off and have pics of them freshly po with my nipples looking way to high. I am now 7 months po and due to see him again in December. He said at my last visit I he could re-position the implant but it may happen again and I would probably be charged for the re-op.



I am so fed up of being so worried if they are on show when that I can't wear v necks etc and just want them corrected. Any suggestons? xx

Look fab in ur avatar Hun. Boobs are all different and you'll never get two boobies the same just like natural boobies are never identical. We all have little quirky issues mostly which ate highlighted when you start to take piccys if them lol. If your so unsatisfied then go for the reop there's not many people that would see you naked except your other half or topless sunbathing ... But when you know it's there it does become an issue be guided by what you feel is right for you and if it's a reop then go for it hun. Good luck x

I know what you mean about everyone having there own little issues with there boobs and I know they will never be perfect I just down want to worrying about them popping out in clothing lol .



I would love to go for the re-op to sort it but I have already paid £5,800 for the uplift and just can't do it. I am hoping to have a discussion with Mybreast to see if they will fix as I keep putting it off because I don't like confrontation but I need to know once and for all so I can stop thinking 24 7 about it.

Are you not covered for bottoming out hun? I was under the impression you were with MyBreasts aftercare policy.



Don't be put off seeing your surgeon about this hun, you've already said he's diagnosed that you've bottomed out, so he surely can't be funny with your when you tell him you're not happy.

Yes I thought I was covered for bottoming out to. I really need to speak to Mybreast about it all as I am so confused. I have been putting it off as I don't want to hear that I can't get them sorted and I know this sounds silly but I don't want to upset or offend my surgeon . Thanks for the hugs x

I'm like you hun, I had a lttle problem and felt I would be offending my ps if I mentioned it but then I just thought of all the money I'd spent and decided I had to speak up. Be strong hunni, take a friend with you for support. Why not try and bring your appointment closer, I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Take care hun. xx

I think if you had a lift that surely your nipple position was his responsibility. Defiantly bring it up to help put your mind at ease. I have had issues with my implants and my dr has been fairy good about it but I will still have some costs to cover. Good luck and keep us upto date with how your appt goes.

I had to think whether I had seen them befor but they were lollys whose I were thinking of lol. They look really nice,it is a shame about the nipple, lucky you have a pic straight after surgery...I'm not sure but might help toward you getting a free re-op. Does surgeon know about the pic?

Well that's what I keep thinking but I just keep getting told it's because of my skin! That it's very stretchy, which is what's caused my implants to bottom out and push my nipples up. I have pics right after surgery with them looking way to high though and my implants already sitting low.



I have read lot's on the net now regarding probs simular to mine and I am getting the impression that my implant was placed to low to start with and nipple to high or tissue not tight enough which would make sense as I still have quite a bit of lose skin under my breasts. I remember him saying he couldn't take as much skin away as he wanted to so I don't know why he hasn't just said right let's do that now.



I will let you know how appointment goes, it's not until December but I am going to ring MyBreast next week to try and get some idea of where I stand.

Thanks, Lolly has had 700cc but I only had 390 lol but hers look great so I am pleased with that lol. No he doesn't and neither does MyBreast, so I am going to mention this when I call them next week. I think your right, it will help greatly.



It is such a shame because it really is just the nipple causing the probs other wise he really has worked a miracle on them and I think hes a great surgeon, I think he just found me a really difficult case because I had such alot of skin to be taken away.

Lol oh yeh I think it was the White bra which threw me.

Yep defo bring then pics up and bring them to your next appointment....preferably with the date on if possible, in case they try to say the pics could have been taken at a different time.

the bra is from PRIMARK lol. I have never bought underwear from there before but it looked so gorgeous I thought I would try it on lol. They are only £6 so bought one in several colours. They are called "The sexiest plunge bra" and they go up to an f cup.

i have th exact opp problem to you...i feel my nipples r too low and im also worried bout offending my surgeon too!

its a sticky situation, but if ur not happy, u HAVE to do something! Surely they r at fault for perhaps creating your implant pockets too low???

would u mind if i saw your pics ?? i wud love to see if they r as high as yuou say, or whether your being too self critical?? wud u mind? an honest opinion only,

hi butterfly, i really feel for you hun. I'm having an uplift and 340 unders, this is worrying me a lot!! I really hope they sort it for you hun. Think ur surgeon should have mentioned that you have very stretchy skin and that this was a possibility.... do be brave and go back to ur ps... its his responsibility. This is ur body, its important for you to be ok hun. Get saving!!! If its not covered and you have to pay for a re op, maybe try a different surgeon? See what they say xxx

To give you an idea of where they are and you may laugh but if you can see on my bra in the avatar there are triangle lace bits my nipple is up by the fifth triangle counting from the bottom up lol. Everyone I have shown them to ie sisters and friends are shocked at how high they are. It's me that keeps trying to convince myself to live with it but it's troublesome when I wear v necks etc and even got caught out in my dentists chair wearing a v neck lol. He got more than he bargained for



AmyD, i'm sure your uplift will be fine hun. My poor surgeon did have a battle with my skin during surgery and it took 5 1/2 hours to do instaed of the estimated 2! but I don't think that can be blamed on me. Like you say if he thought it may have been a prob I would have liked to have been warned. I just want it fixed as it really is getting me down now Good luck with your op hun, i'm sure you will look fab xx

5 triangles up?? thats quite high!!! tell u what, ile giv u some of my low nipples in exchange for your high nipps n then mayb we will both have better nipple placement!!!??? HA HA HA
on a more serious note, if ur sisters and friends agree with you, then i imagine it isnt in your head, as no one likes pointing out a fault to someone they love. I hope you find the courage to get what you want...and i hope i do when the time comes!! im leaving it to nearly the one year po mark n then if nothing has settled like the surgeon thinks, im going back, all guns blazing!!

why are yours to low, should they have done a lift as well? What do they think will change nipple height wise 1 year po other than your implant dropping which I suppose can push them up! Your right I need a bit of your prob and you need a but of mine and and they will be just right lol.

My worry would be that your imlant will be too high on your chest if he has to match it with your nipples!



My implant to too flat and my nipples are sliding off my chest because it lacks projection!!!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHH pitty we all couldnt get it right the first time, it really plays with your mind.



If only we were boys we wouldnt have to worry about this stuff!

Sorry to hear you have bottomed out,



If you have pictures taken straight after your op hun then its clearly not a case of your skin being the problem, and could even be a case of maybe the P.S making your implant pocket to low giving you the bottomed out look.......its hard to say with out looking at your pictures.



I found this which could be your case if you say it was like it straight after your op:

Bottoming Out" of breast implants is when the breast implant descends too low in relation to the chest wall, and the nipple appears too high in relation to the breast implant. It is mainly seen in very thin patients with essentially no breast tissue and minimal skin coverage. It is more common with breast implants placed above the muscle. It can be caused initially by over dissection of the implant pocket or by setting the new inframammary crease too low at the initial operation





Id ask our P.S James to have a peek for you and give you his opinion on you boobs, the pics straight after your op and some pictures of now might help.........





Im my case hun I thought I had bottomed out boobies as mine looked perfect right after my op but then 2-3 weeks later my boobs "dropped" and settled and my implants sat low on my chest and my nipples went from being in the middle of my boobs to higher up and most my implants sat below the nipple giving me hardly any upper pole fullness.



This was later exsplained to me by my P.S that I had bottom heavy looking boobs due to my shorter then normal nipple to neck measurement...........so my argument back was well if thats the case then surly my implant pocket should have been made higher to make up for that but he said it was not possible and I would have looked odd with boobs stuck under my chin and that the bottom heavy look is mostly wanted by women.......Im still not 100percent I have not bottomed out to this day....some days I look in the mirror and think oh they look ok then others I think they have definately bottomed out.....





so at times I think I could well be the same as you........





But this is what your P.s has told you has happend to you which cant be right if you were llike this straight after your op:



However, in an experienced plastic surgeons hands, it is usually caused initially by a larger breast implant over stretching the skin and creating a pocket under the breast implant which the implant slides into. If it occurs later, it is usually the result of the weight from a larger breast implant i.e. greater than 400cc. It is not a function of the type of incision used to place the implants.

I had lost alot of weight and had very thin skin so the info you gave about the bottoming out makes sense being common in thin patients or patients with thin skin. I really feel that my pocket is to low or maybe that the implant was to heavy for my thin skin. Even he said that they were placed under the muscle but now feel like partials!



I spoke to MyBreast this afternoon and poored my heart out to my pc who was very understainding. She has booked me in to see him in October and has said that I need to ask him to set the ball rolling for revision surgery and they will take it all from there.



I am sorry to hear you had probs to hun, I have to say they look fab in your avatar. I hope you are having more good days than bad as I definately know how that feels.



I think I will ask James for his opinion and send him pics and see what he thinks as it would be nice for another surgeons opinion. I have seen an nhs surgeon regarding a cyst and straight away he commented on how high my nipples were on the breast mound which in a way was comforting as at least I know it's not all in my head lol.

I'm glad you've got an appointment soon hun, it's best that you deal with the problem straight away. It's good that the lady you spoke to on the phone was positive and the fact that another surgeon has commented will make you less worried about speaking to your ps.



Remember stay strong and make sure everything is noted on your record when you see your ps hun. MyBreast are supposed to be one of the best when it comes to aftercare so I hope they are true to their word when you see them.
