Myths of implant profiles !!
This may seem daft ... But ...
I was given the impression that
- high profiles are for a glamour style projection
- moderate are for natural breasts
- low profile are for breast reconstruction
Now since having a BA and being apart of this great forum iv realised none of that is actually true at all - so moral of this story - if anyone else thinks this STOP because this is clearly not true ...
If anyone knows why we have different profiles suggested please feel free to elaborate it would seem I need the education

Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
i thought exactly the same as you just said!!! Ive learnt it depends on your body size etc as to what implant profile would be more suited to the person which the surgeon will decide and also the look your going for - although ive learnt high profile does not always mean a stuck on look as i originally assumed xxx

Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
I can only comment on what was recommended to me and why. But my PS recommended HPs for me because I'm a bit droopy, but the HPs are supposed to help give a bit more 'perk' in my case because apparently they're not bad enough for a lift, but would benefit from a bit of a pep-up!

Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
This is what I've come to understand:
It depends a lot on BWD. This is how wide your breasts are. Some women had a narrow frame, others are broad. Those with broader frames need a larger implant to cover the natural width of the breast however the larger the implant, the more the projection. So a surgeon may be recommened a low/mid profile so the client doesn't get the stuck on look, especially if they have very little breast tissue.
Of course some women prefer an implant with less projection because they don't want their surgery to be too obvious.

I really don't understand it either, i only had 265cc so a small implant but ultra high profile and i'm currently in a 36dd but i am not that big and they defiantly don't stick out that far !.

Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
To be honest before coming on here I had no idea about any of this, but now i understand that it all depends on the width of your chest, as my chest is quite broad im having 525cc high profiles. This is what the ps reccomended.

Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
That's exactly it. 525ccs on me would make me look like Jordan as I have a smaller frame. On welshvicci they'll look in proportion to her size.
Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
I was told I would get moderate profiles ... But the sticker on my discharge pack says MHP - 460 .... I think this means I have high profiles ...

Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
Hi ladies. Just wonder if any of you would be able to help with this. I should've probably asked my PS when I saw him on Tuesday, but I had other questions (size)lol.
My ribcage measures at 29.2" so that makes me a 34 (my cup size is a Med B). I'm getting 300cc high profile implants, the natrelle ones, I think they measure at 11cm diameter, so would this be enough to cover my breast width, I don't want to have my boobs look funny as the implants might not be wide enough. I have a good amount of breast tissue. OMG, I've got 4 days to go and I'm still freaking out.

Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
You'll need to know your BWD stircrazy. Mine is 15cm, and I only have a 30 inch ribcage, I have less than a cm between my boobs. I'm emailing my PS to discuss the fact that the implants he's said I can go up to only have a 12cm diameter which won't fit me. I can't go any bigger as I'm having a lift. It's always best just to double check to put your mind as rest. You can go within 1cm of you BWD from what I've read. xx

Re: Myths of implant profiles !!
You girls know loads about the implants you're getting! I have no idea about BWD or the measurements of the implants I'm having!! Is it worth asking my PS do you reckon??
