Sleeping after a BA
I am a light sleeper anyway... and I sleep on my stomach. How long will I have to wait before I can sleep this way girls? Many thanks

Re: Sleeping after a BA
Hi,
I know it varies with everyone but I personally still find it uncomfortable to lay on my front and I am 7 months po. I had a lift as well but I don't think it's due to that it's actually the pressure on my implant that I don't like but you may be fine.
Good luck x

I lie on my stomach too but am guessing thats because ive never had boobs to get in the way (im still pre BA)!! Im willing to give up laying on my tummy to have some lady lumps at long last and it may take some getting used to but i think it will definately be well worth it xxx

Re: Sleeping after a BA
Its not the same for everyone hun..........it took me at least 3 months but Im nearly 2 years after my op and still at times find it hard to sleep on my tummy so have lots of extra pillows one for my head and one below my boobs so I have a gap for them to fit ito with out them getting swished! ............also sleeping in a sports bra ( once fully healed) makes it feel better if your on your tummy as you boobs dont swish out to the sides but I cant stand wearing bras in bed so I opt for my pillows

Re: Sleeping after a BA
I think I can live with propping myself with pillows... I don't think I could live with NEVER sleeping face down again!!!
I'm hoping I can at least sleep on my side after a couple of weeks... side sleep is probably my overall preference... what was the timeline on that like, post-op ladies?

I actually like sleeping sitting up! I must be a weirdo!
My problem is that when I try to lye flat it causes huge pain in my incisions x

Re: Sleeping after a BA
I am a fidget, lol, I think I spend most of then night on my side but also sleep on my tummy.
I am such a saddo I have already started trying to retrain my sleeping habits, lol!
When I go to bed now I always try to fall asleep on my back, I figure if I can get in the habit now, it will be easier when I (finally) get some breasticles!

Re: Sleeping after a BA
I'm back in my normal memory foam bed now!
I have 2 memory foam pillows and 2 big fluffy pillows that I prop myself up with
Then I have a long body pillow that I actually lay on top of me up to my boobies and rest my legs over-completely takes away the back pain,
Also if I get too hot with the pillow and quilt on me I put the pillow across the bed under my knees-another great position to ease back pain

Re: Sleeping after a BA
I agree, I started sleeping on my side about 14 days out and it wasn't the most comfortable thing, but last night I slept on alternating each side throughout the night and it was lovely! Sick of sleeping on my back!!!

Re: Sleeping after a BA
I was allowed to sleep on my side after 8 days and my god was it a relief! It took me a couple of weeks to sleep comfortably and i still spend ages re-arranging pillows and getting into a comfy position but compared to sleeping propped up on my back its heaven! Not sure if ill ever sleep on my front again though, they still hurt abit at the mo.x

Viclove - my BF actually slept in another room for the first 10 days - I was worried of him rolling over and smacking my new boobies!!

Don't worry sarah, it gets better! Definitely try a hot water bottle or a heating pad, it really helped me through the first week!!

Re: Sleeping after a BA
I guess I will have to try and sleep on my side the next week , well 3 weeks!! I have so many worries! I am also dreading leaving my BF to do the housework with two 12 year olds and lots of housework and hobbies ... I never sit down ... May be this will teach me to chill more ha x
