Good News from Transform
As some of you well know I haven't been happy with the results of my surgery since the beginning
I've heard back from Transform and they have agreed further surgery with the Consultant I saw, AFTER I have a further consult with him at his request xx
I'm off to see James Mcd at the end of the month first though BEFORE I go arranging anything, to have a chat with him about things xx
Mixed emotions about it all really xx I am pleased that Transform are looking after me, and I have to say that they have treated me really well and HAVE looked after me, (other than dragging their heels a little), I can't really complain about Transform  They've dealt with the matter quite well xx
However my issues are solely with the PS and what he has done to me, and I CAN and do really blame HIM for my current situation and for what lies ahead of me, which looks like double explant and further surgery with an anchor lift xx So basically after nearly three years I will end up with no implants, empty saggy boobs and sporting the scars of 4 surgical procedures
So yes, mixed emotions to say the least.............
Just wanted to say a big to BJSF and all the girls on here who have followed my story and helped me to pick up all the pieces with all your kind words of encouragement xx Couldn't have done this without you all

Re: Good News from Transform
Glad that Transform are offering you some support and accept that they have a duty to help you sort this out.
But it's good that you're going to see James first to see what he can suggest. Obviously this other Transform surgeon may be able to help improve the situation but maybe you'll want to try someone completely different after all you've been through.
Still, progess is being made which must be some help.

Re: Good News from Transform
Fantastic news Kay that Transform are looking after you hunni. I hope you get some positive news from James when you go to see him, and then you'll be able to move forward and hopefully put all this behind you. Don't be too dismissive off your boobs not looking good without implants hun, the anchor lift alone can give your boobs a great shape. Thinking off you hun. xx

Re: Good News from Transform
Hey Kay
Just been reading your story and Im really suprised. I've had a pretty hard time of it in the last couple of months to be honest. Basically I had my BA in August and they had to be removed in October. Ive been totally devestated. My full story is on the other Seroma threads.
I was on holiday and they started leaking, after having they drained and restitched before going away. Its just been a disaster.
Ive been left with absolutely no boobs whatsoever however I couldnt cope with things. They want me to get them done again but I am soo scared. Everything was fine for 5 weeks last time and then the blister appeared so all the time I will be stressing out the same will happen again.
Ive paid for a consultation with another surgeon who specialises in breast reconstruction. My thnking is that she will be more knowledgable about problems. Im just scared ot do this again but I feel horrible and wont let my bfriend see me.
Theres been nothing positive about this for me at all. Im with transform as well they have been fine however I really want to speak to someone totally independent. Its hard trusting the surgeon again thats all.
Just wondering how you are feeling now and a bit about you r journey x x x x

Re: Good News from Transform
Hey Bella xx
So sorry to hear about what's happened to you xx I can imagine how traumatic this must have all been for you xx it just hangs over you doesn't it xx
I went to see someone independent as well as the reconstruction surgeon Transform referred me too xx I remember that I very much felt stuck between a rock and a hard place and just didn't know which one to trust and where to go or what to do xx It caused lots of arguments at home and although I was desperate to get fixed I tried not to rush my decision making, traveling long distances to see both surgeons xx I think when you have had a problem you start to then question your choices xx
The reconstruction surgeon was definitely the one who seemed to understand my situation the most and he was able to explain and tell me about what I was feeling xx What I mean is that he understood me and how I was feeling and the reasons why xx
I discussed the matter with Transform in the end as I just didn't know what to do and they encouraged me to go back and see the reconstruction surgeon as they had used him before and he was tried and tested for them. So I did, and I spoke with him about seeing the other surgeon and what he had said etc etc and I felt happy with him and what he told me and what he was going to do xx and it was then that I decided that I was happy with him and happy to proceed xx
I am definitely worried that I will have the same result again or that something else will go wrong, but at the end of the day I hate the way I look now and despise my boobs so I know that I have to do something and so need to go through with this xx On the other hand I am hopeful that I end up with a better result xx
It's been a long journey and hopefully by Christmas it will all have been worth it xx
Hope some of this helps sweety xx

Re: Good News from Transform
Thanks Kay
Im sure everything will be OK for you this time. By the sound of it you have taken your time and done as much research as you possibly could.
I genuinely think we have just been unlucky. I was meant to be going back to see my own surgeon before xmas but Im just leaving it. He did say at the time if you have had a seroma you have an increased chance of another one. However, the other surgeon at transform told me he would reposition them to unders and they would be fine - i felt like he was telling me off when I said I wasnt sure!
I feel a bit guilty as well. Ive done this to myself, paid thousands of pounds, had 2 operations and ive been left with nothing. I didnt like my boobs before but now I hate them. My problem was a seroma which kept on building up and leaking. I obviously couldnt go on and they decided to remove them. The swabs never showed an infection. I just wanted answers and never got them. I refuse to believe this doesnt happen to other people, so ive booked an appointment with a reconstruction surgeon. I just think they might be give me some answers and let me make an informed choice as to whether or not I should do this again!
How did you get on with the reconstruction surgeon and why did you choose to go back to Transfor?
Sorry for annoying you im just trying to get my head round this!

Re: Good News from Transform
Hey Hun xx
I don't class myself as unlucky, I totally, 100% blame the incompetence of my original surgeon xx It is his fault that I am now in the position I am in xx This will be my third operation and I whole heartedly hold him responsible for getting everything wrong right from the start xx
My problems all stem from Surgeon error I'm afraid xx I wouldn't let my original surgeon anywhere near me xx he is utterly incompetent xx
I went back to Transform because, ultimately, I don't see why I should have to fork out again for something that was crap from day one and was caused by one of their 'surgeons' xx I don't have any issues with Transform, just the cr*p work that I had done by one man xx At the end of the day they are a huge company and they have a responsibility to their customers when things go wrong xx
I got on well with the reconstruction bloke xx I liked his honesty xx
You're not annoying me at all hun xx anything I can do to help xx
My original PS treated me appallingly when I complained xx I was left feeling like an inconvenience and was dismissed as a person, made to feel as though I was the problem xx disgusting treatment really xx The reconstruction man was lovely, very honest and upfront and relaxed xx He acknowledged the problem and me as a person xx
I would get them to pay your all your costs hun if they aren't already xx

Re: Good News from Transform
Thanks you've been so lovely! I'm seriously starting to believe if the implats were put under the muscle in the first place I would be OK.
Hopefully the reconstruction surgeon will provide some clarity for me.
Let me know how you get on with everything and keep me updated, I honestly think everything will be fine this time. BTW who is actually going the surgery, is it a surgeon from transform?
