Laptop question
Of the people that took their laptops to the hospital with them, how many of you actually used it and if so how much? I'm debating whether it's worth me taking mine or not, because surely post op your so sleepy, and then you get discharged the next day in the morning (usually) so it's only whilst your waiting to go to theatre that it would get used. did you find it was a waste of time and space taking it or was it a life saver?
There's a telly in the room and I'll probably take a book(although I might be too sleepy for that post op too, it would pass the time before theatre) and my music.

Re: Laptop question
After my op the time just flew! I watched a tiny bit of telly, dozed a lot, and went to the mirror about a million times to check the new additions! I didn't have a laptop with me and didn't need it/miss it at all.
I just took a couple of magazines and flicked through them when I got there and was waiting, I couldn't have concentrated on a book being that nervous and excited. x

Re: Laptop question
I took my laptop thinkin that the hospital would have wifi but it never so I couldn't use it!! I was gutted haha, I was in for two days though but I managed to keep busy. I had lots of magazines, books and the tele to keep me occupied. I wouldn't worry 2 much about takin it you can always sleep if u get bored xx

Re: Laptop question
I was only in for the day, but I had my phone with me in case I got bored so I could play games, catch up with the news. The day went by so quickly though, I doubt you'll get time to use it much.
