scar opening at 4 month po?! Empty scar opening at 4 month po?!

hi girls, im a tad worried bout th scar on my left boob. it seems to have a purple/red dark patch on it, but wen i touch it, its flat u cant feel it. is it an infection? i dont c how as my scars r fully healed!
i have th pic on picturetrail if anyone cud take a look for me who has any knowledge or experience with this?

i have c section scars and some parts of my scar are different colour to rest, i do have odd bits of purple to red scaring as well as the normal colour

i'd say its just part of the process as there prob still healing even thou the scars healed!! is it painful??

thanks girls, no it isnt painful, its wider then the rest of the scar and only noticed it yday, it def wasnt there before!? mmmhhh

Jen, I could have a look for you.
I doubt it is infection so far down the line.
I have seen many scars and have had c sections myself also.

It could just be where your skin is still stretching and it's casued slight irritation. If you're worried it might be worth giving your nurse a call just to ease your mind.

I think Kay sounds to be on the money - sounds like the scar could be spreading. If its bright in colour like a new scar, and wider than the rest. My PS told me I have to tape my scars for 6 months post op to prevent them from spreading, so at 4 months I guess it entirely possible...

my friend has this she had hers done at the nuffield a diff place to me (transform) hers wasnt an infection it was how the surgeon made the cut xx

Please don't worry. I would advise that you get the nurse at your local transform clinic to take a look. Better to be reassured by a professional than stay in doubt.

And jen86 id go see a transform clinic aswell incase it could get worse . Call them tomorrow ...

ahhh oki... im tuesday after you....comeing back to eangland comeing thursday. i will have microdermabrasion done too on that day at transform... my skin is still a bit greesy since op.. never had that before... hope that will help a bit

so hope its all good and i can wear normal brahs then

Hey hon, I had surgery on my neck and the scar did the same thing, it's weird but it's normal. Keep an eye on it, if it stings see your doc
