I really dont want to go too big! please advise!
Hiyall
Still quite new to the forum ( ) and have been reading it like mad! My husband thinks I'm obsessed with the site! I am 37, married with two children (11 and 9), and have wanted bigger boobs ever since mine never grew! I've reached that point in life where I think if I dont have them now, I never will!
I am struggling to decide what kind of size I would like. I am (and have always been apart from a slight increase during pregnancy and breastfeeding) a 34AA (although some of the bras I wear are 34AAA!). I think I want a sort of C cup, but I know that a C on one person can look very different on another - this is all so complicated! I've has one PCC consult and another with a surgeon. The surgeon suggested I go for natrelle 310cc (unders) to get a C, and I tried on some sizers but I felt like they were too big. The PCC said I should go as bigger rather than smaller - I suggested a B cup but she thought that would not be noticeable.
I know its difficult to judge with just limited info but I would very much appreciate some advice from those of you that really seem to know their stuff! I really don't want to end up too big, I just want a neat pair that will look in proportion and not get in the way of running!
I'm a small frame 5'3, 8st7lb (although I am trying to lose a few) but I do have quite wide shoulders and although my band measures a 34, a 36 is often more comfortable.

First sweetness, don't take any surgical advice from a patient co-ordinator, they have no medical training and know as much about BAs as we do, they are sales women who will say what they think you want to hear to seal the deal and you on a surgery slot!
If you're looking to have specific 'look' from your surgery, you must understand that we have no medical training in this area either, we can advise however how you can get the best from your surgeon to enable you to get the information you need.
You need to look for pics hunni of the size and shaped breasts you like, realistically, if you can find them on someone with a similar body shape to yours all the better!
You can look for these boobie pics in mens mags, if you're shy of shopping for these, then google them hun, just type in nuts mens mag, have a browse through, if you find what you want save the pic to your comp and print it off, or search the net for before and after pics and see if there any resulting sizes there you like?
Showing your surgeon pics gives them a far better idea of the 'look' you're hoping for rather than the 'size' you're hoping for as withing being able to see, yours and your surgeons perception of sizes may differ greatly, so having that visual right there between you both gives your surgeon no doubt in their mind what you're hoping for from this surgery and go from there babes. Your surgeon if you have trust and confidence in theem is ALWAYS going to be the only person to give you the answer as close as they can get it to, to make you happy with your result. xx

haha! I think he'll very much enjoy helping you choose!
Re: I really dont want to go too big! please advise!
Hey sims! I have found that the sizers really are pretty accurate...if you feel like they're really too big and you're wanting a modest BA (like me) you may want to try slightly smaller sizes and see what you think! For me, I really liked the way 225 cc looked on me, so I actually opted to get 250 since I went under the pec muscle and I must say, it's pretty much what the sizers looked like! I'm very very pleased! Mind you, it took me 5 weeks to really be pleased...before I felt like they were kinda big. Overall, hun, it really depends on what you want. For me, I wanted it to be really modest and natural looking. I also enjoy being able to play them up or down depending on what kind of bra I'm wearing (padding vs. no padding). It's fabulous! Good luck babe!!!

Hey sims congrats an welcome to the forum it's amazing!! Just wanted to say I was terrified of going to big, an it's obviously a huge decision, make sure ur happy with your surgeon and definatly get lots of pics of what your looking for. Im only 7 stone an I was worried I'd look top heavy, I was offered 260/300cc an I had overs, when I tried the sizes before they did feel massive an even on my ba day I asked my surgeon for the 260 but he suggested the 300cc as once inside they arnt as big. I can actually say I'm so glad I did go for the bigger size, your having unders?? So I think u can loose a bit of size, so what you think is too big might not be once inside. Mine look great in clothes I just look like I have boobs not top heavy at all an out of clothes they look bigger it's amazing ! Good luck huni xxx

Hi Sims
I feel exactly the same as you, although I'm 5'6" and about 9.5 stone. Also got 2 kids (11 and 9 years old). I'm currently a small 34b and don't really want to be any bigger than a decent C-cup. I've been told that I could go for anything between a 270-330cc unders. When I tried the 330cc my husband looked horrified! I'm now torn between the 270 and 300, although the PS said it actually won't make a huge amount of difference. I was swaying towards the 300, but moongal's look fantastic - might take her photo in with me for the next appointment!!

Thanks again BB's!
Tinkabell you're absolutely right this forum is super!
Peapod- 11&9 what a coincidence! Can I ask what you are telling them? Are either of them girls? Both of mine are and I posted an earlier thread about my anxieties for how my BA will affect their body image as they get older...

Re: I really dont want to go too big! please advise!
Hiya! I was a 32A pre-op with a BWD of 12 cm. I basically had a small amount of breast tissue to start, and my PS said I was barely a candidate to be able to go over the muscle (I elected against this anyway.) I got 250 cc round silicone implants (mentor brand) with the mod + profile placed partially under the muscle.
As far as my shape...I'm 5'6" and about 110 lbs. Hope that helps!! I think either way you may think they are really big right at first, but given time you'll get used to them. Again, I really did think the sizers were pretty accurate. I have heard that you lose about 25 cc going under the muscle, which is why I selected 250 since I liked the 225 sizers. Best of luck!!!! xxoxooxo

HI! So far I've been a 32 C...full. I did have to get one 32 D strapless bra because it just felt better. :-) I like my size bc I feel like I can play them up or down depending on what bra I wear. :-)

Re: I really dont want to go too big! please advise!
surgeon told me 420cc and i said what would 435 look and he said will see in theatre about that, but i have come out with 475 so he put even bigger than i asked as told him i would leave it to him on what would look best as he knows more than me and i come out with big boobies i think, lol, dont mind though to be honest, as not huge just big lol
Re: I really dont want to go too big! please advise!
Awesome thanks Moongal, I am getting 350cc so I think I will be very happy with that based on yours (I would be happy with a 'barely D cup' result) which I think in comparison to you I should ach ieve. The only difference with us is your width is 11cm, mine is 13cm!? Go figure. He isn't putting the widest one in though, he said I will look massive so we can consider doing that after I have babies (even though I told him I don't think I am having babies!lol) and in 10 years time.
Yours look so natural, I hope mine are nice and natural.
Thanks for sharing

Re: I really dont want to go too big! please advise!
Hi Sims
No my kids are both boys, so I don't know if that's easier or not! I think my eldest has possibly overheard one of my conversations with my husband as he asked me what a boob job was the other day. I explained what it was to both of them and he said "would you like a boob job?" and I said yes, but I couldn't actually bring myself to tell him that I was having one! He's not stupid - I think he already knows. When I do officially tell them, I'm not sure what I'll say if they ask why! I'm not planning on telling them until maybe the weekend before I go in, because I don't want them to worry about it for weeks and weeks, but they do need to know because I'm sure I'll be a bit pathetic for a while afterwards.
I think for both your girls and my boys we could explain that after having children, boobs lose their 'stuffing' a bit and we just want them restuffed!! It's not like either of us want huge knockers!!

Re: I really dont want to go too big! please advise!
they always do look slightly smaller when theyre actually in your body i think.
When you try sizers on, youre going from nothing, to having something, so the shock means you cant really judge it properly.
When i tried mine on, i thought 300s looked really big, but in actual fact i ended up with 420s and i think they look roughly as big as my 300 sizers did.
I really dont think 300s will look too big on your frame. I think that sounds like a good size. Not too big and not too small

Re: I really dont want to go too big! please advise!
First of all congrats on deciding to go for it after all this time! I'm almost 30 and had been contemplating a BA since i turned 18 and hadnt developed properly up top.
I think I expected to just know right away what size and look to go for and spent months trying to imagine what i wld look like.
It is near impossible to be honest - especially if, like me, you have never had any boobs to work with and simply can't picture what your tissue will look like with an impant underneath.
The things that I've learned that determine size are: weight, height, frame, breast width, band size and existing breast tissue.
It sounds like you have a enough space width wise (if your band is 34/36 to fit a decent sized implant in so see what your surgeon recommends.
if possible go and see a few surgeons.
Also, take into account that you SHOULD ASK FOR A DISCOUNT. i didnt and am kicking myself because so many girls got exactly what i did at the same hospital etc.
As a guess i'm thinking 260/300ccs for you if going under muscle, depending on projection...

Hi Sims and everyone else! Fab thread! I am 38 with 2 young children and have never had boobs! Slightly bigger when pg and b/feeding but nothing earth shattering! I've now decided that as I get older having a decent pair of boobs will help stop me looking really scrawny as I am 5'9 and just under 10 stone so feel tall and lanky! Particularly naked and def on the beach or in a bikini! So I am 100% doing this for me! But I am currently a 34a with the assistance of chicken fillets and padding!! I'd like to be a full C cup :)))))) thanks for posting this, its helped me lots xxxxxxx Good Luck with your boobie journey xxxx

Big thanks to all of you for your comments and support!
It's so nice to hear of ladies in a similar predicament to mine. Both my girls know what a boob job is and they know I'm thinking about it. I'm just worried how they will feel when they are teenagers as most likely they will inherit my tiny boobs just like I did from my mum!
