gutted may not get my surgery
i am really gutted and worried, i completely forgot that i have a breast fibroadenoma and think because i didnt tell them, due to it not even entering my head i dont think i will be getting my implants now :(
Re: gutted may not get my surgery
I would speak to your clinic/surgeon asap to see if they are still willing to perform surgery.
Re: gutted may not get my surgery
I agree with misf give the clinic a call, I have an auto immune disorder and didn't think I'd be a candidate for surgery but all was fine, the only thing different was that my GP, Consultant and surgeon all liased through my surgery and it was just fine.
Don't hold anything at all back from your surgeon hun, it's always best that both surgeon and aneathetist are aware of any health problems to ensure you get the best from your surgery. xx

i have told them today, worried just in case they think i have held it back on purpose when i have just forgot till my sister said last night she has a lump and bought it to my mind :(
Re: gutted may not get my surgery
Nahhhhhh, you be OK, it will matter not that you've just told them, what does matter is that you have and they'll simply check on that for you now. xx
Re: gutted may not get my surgery
emailed surgeon direct and he replied quick and told me its ok, he said very common findings and just to check breast regular afterwards, feel over the moon, was terrified
Re: gutted may not get my surgery

Hooray - congrats! I have a couple of lumps in my right breast. I have found surgery stretched the tissue so they are not as bad now x

Re: gutted may not get my surgery
still worried on the day surgeon will say sod off :( as i didnt have a biopsy for the lump i just had scans and they confirmed it was just harmless but i am worried the surgeon will say no due to that, but he seemed fine when i told him i had the lump, i got the lump in 2001 and got it checked in 2006
Re: gutted may not get my surgery
You should be aware Dawn that although you may be OK for surgery, the lump may appear more visible post-op... Just something you may also want to discuss with your surgeon. xx

Its something worth discussing further with your surgeon before your op for sure babe, ask if it's possible to call your surgeon to have a chat about this, it's not too late and he may be able to it for you whilst you're in theatre?
Re: gutted may not get my surgery
i will ask him on the day, he is abroad at the moment on holiday if he will take it out i will get it done if he does not want to i will have to see at a later date if it is causing problems, pah why cant things be straight forward lol
