I was told by two surgeons I was borderline uplift but they didn't feel I was quite at the stage where I needed one, due to age etc. If I was say 35 instead of 28 they probably would have! Anyway, I thought they were very saggy, I hated them but I've had just an implant in and I love them and am very happy. Not sure what they'll be like once they fully settle?? Hopefully ok xx

If you can sweetheart go and see another one or two surgeon so you have a couple of surgery plans to compare to before making any choices, don't just right in have a good long think as seen to have had a few ladies here who were boderline lift and have had to have re-ops to have a lift afterall....

If you're happy to just have a lift be sure to ask what the procedure would be if you find your breasts too saggy after surgery and who would fund a possible re-op should you need one. Ask this of every surgeon you meet so both you and your surgeon are reading from the same page hunni.

Please keep us updated on how you get on babe. xx

I thought mine were saggy and needed an uplift but the surgeon said implants will do the trick, I had overs as I had enough skin/tissue and they really have done the trick. I am obviously still in my sports bra but i have tried on a vest top with no bra and they are perfectly in place and are relatively big at the moment (36E) xx

I would discuss the option with your surgeon at every consult hun like cookie said.

I was told by one surgeon id need a lift and then with another i didnt. I dont have my BA till 9 days. The PC at mya isnt a surgeon hun, so i would see the surgeon and discuss with everyone and they will be able to help hun. xxx

I was a 36C before but they were very soft so I really want them nice and firm again! I have taken a few after photos and can proably find a before bikini pic for you (my surgeon took a before pic so I am going to ask for it at my 6 week check).

How do I show photos - can I e-mail them to you?

I am just uploading the photos to e-mail you now. I thought mine were quite droopy and they were very empty but as there was enough loose skin then the implants over the muscle were enough to fill them out. The surgeon said that a lift wasn't necessary. My 6 week appointment is 16th September so I should be able to get my before photo then I hope, I didn't think to take one myself x

I had 375cc implants and measure a 36E at the moment, not sure if I still have any swelling but they have actually got slightly bigger as they have dropped into place so I doubt they'll get much smaller. I have sent you an e-mail x

Having just implants when you have empty boobs will fill out the emptiness but it won't lift at all, and remember implants too sag over time so what ever sagging you have will continue. But getting a lift completely re shapes the boobs, they become pert, full, and it provides support to the implant. I think if the ps,s are suggesting you need a lift, or are borderline lift, and you don't want any droopiness, then you probably are going to need a lift to get the results you desire.

I do believe if you have been told flat out that you need a lift, looking for other surgeons to tell you what you want to hear rather than what you actually need is a very dangerous thing to do. I dont think anyone when thinking about it wants extra scaring of a lift and it's really scary to have to have a more invasive surgery. But reading how happy having a lift has made the girls on here, and how well their scars heal really reassures you. I know one day if/when I need a lift, after seeing how good it makes people look and really they do look a million times better, I'd rather have the lift and implants, than just implants. The scars really aren't bad. They heal amazingly well.

I don't know if they are high profile, Ipersonally don't feel like mine look like they are droopy now just natura but I know what youl are saying, its not the look everyone wants to achieve. I wanted them to look natural and not that I have had a boob job and thats what I feel has been achieved. Also in any sort of bra even non wired they stay perfectly in place but if you want them to look as if you have implants then I guess you should go for a lift. What you also have to remember is that the bigger the implant the heavier they will be!

Its so hard to say as I also didn't want extra scarring actually on the breast itself. It really is personal preference hun and you have to go with your gut feeling.

I went thinking I needed a lift and the surgeon said I wasn't even borderline. If he had said I needed a lift I had already made the decision that I wouldn't go through with it xx

Sorry I didn't really mean if you want them to look like you've had implants - I wasn't really concentrating as trying to make some willy shaped cakes for a hen party as I was typing! What I really meant was if you want to go for the kind of round look where the volume is more at the top you would need a lift! I have tried vest tops on and they look absolutely fine without a bra as you can see from the side photo they don't droop, its just from the front the weight pulls them down a bit.

I hope you find a way to make your decision, the surgeons generally know best but my advice would be to just let them tell you what they think maybe without you prompting them xxx

i thought i would need a uplift, i thought i was really saggy, but when the surgeon looked he said it was very minimal sagging, so that was a bonus, i am having my surgery tuesday, will take some pics before and after to see what improvement i get, mine are definately droopy though from pregnancies
