Re: bra help please
I had a straight forward BA and had to wait 6 weeks, some people have to wait 12 weeks with a lift or sometimes longer.

Check with your ps to be sure, everyone is different...
I was 6 weeks, but even when I could wear the normal bras it took a while for them to feel right so I would wear them for small bits of time then go back into my post op bras... Over a time the normal bras became more comfortable.

Re: bra help please
I was told 6 weeks. But I started out slow and wore it half a day to start with and slowly increased the time I wore mine over the next week.It rubbed on my anchor incisions so I put soft cotton gauze along that area for a while as well.

Re: bra help please
I was also told 6 weeks hun, but to be honest I didn't even think about wearing wires until about 12 weeks, I felt my incisions were too tender and the wired bras were so uncomfy. Like Emme-Kate and Sarahdawn I had to build myself up slowly untill they felt comfortable. xx

Re: bra help please
Hi hun
I was told 6weeks to keep the sports bra on for and also was advised to wear non underwire bras as much as possible after and only wear underwires if your off on a night out.
After my 1st BA I didnt want to wear any bras , lol and then when I did , I had to start off slow by wearing underwire bras for no more than a couple hr period at the most to start with. I remember they wasnt comfy at all and would recommend if ur gonna wear an underwire bra, get a fitting 1st so u have the most comfort (you dont want the wires, bones etc digging in to ruin ur lovely shaped boobies).
