Who do you tell?
Hello,
Just curious to know: who did you tell prior to your operation? Who did you ask for help post-op?
Do people notice?
How do you react?
So far I have told my husband and a friend. My in-laws would probably think I am wasting their son's savings LOL! or that I should give the Uplift and BA money to someone who needs it!
Are people negative or critical?
I am not sure I would like to tell many people before I actually go for it!
Just curious....

Re: Who do you tell?
I am an open wear my heart on my sleeve kind of girl... So I told most everyone in my life, now I didnt go blabbing to extended fam or my hubbys friends but I told my family (parents, sis, bro, and grama) I told my hubbys parents and sister, infact it was my hubbys mom that came to stay with me for 2 weeks to take care of my kids! I also told my closest friends. I felt no need to hide it as I was getting them done to fix what breastfeeding had done to me...I was proud of taking care of my babies and it was my time for a treat! My mom also made me feel very deserving of doing this to build up my confidence. As well, I thought that everyone would notice anyway so I just told everyone so to prevent strange looks and guessing. After it all I dont think that they are as noticable as I thought because I was good at making my pre op boobs look pretty good. However, I was still glad I told, I like to be open and everyone was so supportive about it, I didnt get any negativity from my fam or friends. I will admitt the first time I would see someone who new when I first got them I would feel a bit funny cuz I knew they wanted to have a look at them but you could tell they were trying not too look there and keep eyecontact... so I would just break the ice with most (female) fam and friends and say "go on have a look (with clothes on of course) I am proud of them" then from then on it was fine!

Re: Who do you tell?
I've told loads of people!!!
Soon-to-be-ex hubby said he didn't want his mum to know due to a long standing rift between me and her (which she started and is carrying on. I don't have a problem with her but I'm banned from her house even on special occasions like my own kids birthday parties that she throws them!!!) and he didn't want the aggro. My parents know, hubby's ex wife knows and all had been told not to tell hubby's mum. But my mum forgot and told her last week and hubby has had nothing but lectures and arguments from his mum ever since!!! Even though I'm not actually paying for it, which she also knows, she keeps going on about how I could spend the money on better things (yeah make me feel guilty, cos I hadn't been thinking that already anyway) and that she can't believe someone would just give me that kind of money etc etc.
I've also had a lot of people say to me that my boobs are lovely and that I don't need them done. I just say they haven't seen them out of a bra!! Then I go on and explain how I have tubular breast disorder and that they've always been like this and I'm fed up with them so I'm getting them sorted so that I feel better about myself.
So if you think someone would react badly just don't tell them and make sure that the people in contact with that person know not to say anything. But otherwise if you are comfortable telling people then do xx

Re: Who do you tell?
i told my mum, and a few friends. Dh told his mum and his nana cos we assumed everyone would notice.
In actual fact, very few people have noticed, or if they have, they certainly havent acted like they have, or said anything.

Re: Who do you tell?
Iv told practically everyone in my passing! im so excited i cant hold it in, and to be honest id rather people knew than get embarrassed when people notice after.... easing them into the situation (for example my workmates) i wont be shy and telling people after either that they are implants! iv wanted them for so long and im so proud to be able to say im actually going to be getting them IN LESS THAN A WEEk! i could cry with happiness!!! i wana shout it from the rooftops lol.....to be honest i havent put it on my facebook , just the odd countdown status etc and if anyone has asked iv PM'd them whats happening!! im super excited and why not tell everyone! my mum and gran are absolutely delighted for me and think its a great idea! Iv nothing at the moment and hopefully going to be a D so ppl will notice regardless.
PS Bring on the ppl talking to your chest instead of your face lol.... never experienced that before hahaha

Re: Who do you tell?
I told my Mum & Boyfriend First!!
A few of my friends know as they helped me make the final decision. I had been wearin a massivley padded bra for years and decided that the size was natural looking for me and so replicated the size with my implants so I don't think people will notice but if they do I will admit I've had work.
I was miserable before but am looking forward to the future!!
So far no1 has noticed but I am only 7 days post op so alot of change still to happen. Its up to you whether you tell people they are your BOOBS x

Re: Who do you tell?
I told the world.......I have to say I have had more positive comments than negative. The negative stuff was 'why did I want it' ' I didn't need it' and 'what a waste of money', people are entitled to their opinion but it isn't their body so I really didn't let their views taint mine.
I have to say since having it done my confidence has rocketed and I feel like the old me (pre children) , so no regrets.
As most people know they tend to just ask questions and I am happy to answer, stops the gossiping and people seem to be more curious.
I have to say I don't think they look a lot different in clothing (out of clothing they r beautiful ha ha) but I just feel like a sexy lady.
All in all most comments have been positive and my friends and family have been brilliant and thats what mattered to me. My dad helped me pay for it so even he understood what this meant to me.
All in all I did this for me and will never look back
I love them
xx
