Massage
Anybody got a rough idea when to start massaging the boobies? I'm 2 weeks post op and still sitting high and are really hard, i'm not seeing my surgeon for another 5 weeks either.

Re: Massage
I was told not to massage as I have textured implants. Even if you did massage it wont make them soften any qiicker, I would see what your surgeon advises at your next appointment, They can take months to soften and drop hun
Re: Massage
hi hun i saw my Ps today she said to start massage at 2 weeks to help them soften x

Re: Massage
You may want to call the doctors office and ask what they suggest.Since your implants are still high they might want you to do certain pushes on them and massage them a special way.I still have to "push down and hold" above my left breast since its to high. And as of today they told me to raise the bra strap on my right breast as high as I can while lower the left breasts bra strap. They think it will help my left breast drop.
Each doctor seems to do things differently.Just give them a quick call to be sure :)

Re: Massage
Go to FAQ on how to do the ticker thing. I would put a link here but don't know how. The instructions worked for me and I am useless! X

Re: Massage
My PS told me to start massaging around 3 wks to help soften them. They are still quite sore to touch, so I am not enjoying the massaging much - or not where it still hurts which is outer sides and under boobs. I think they are defo getting softer though. X

Re: Massage
My PS told me to begin massaging after 1 week...sounds like there's som variability there...
It's interesting, I just realized that the reason to massage is not to make the implant softer, but to keep the dissection pocket that your PS made fully open. So basically you use the implant and move it around to do that for you. Weird! This whole time I was massaging away thinking that I was just trying to make the actual implant softer. DOH!

Re: Massage
I also really think you need to call your PS! My PS told me to start massaging 4 days post op! He did say only to start when I could withstand it, and not to if it hurt too much. I just started very gently and slowly and now I can really push those babies all over!
For sure call your PS though!
