what happens at a pre-op, I'm not having one!!!!!
I haven't been offered a pre-op! I went for my consultation and she measured me and told me the ins and outs and then gave me a date for my surgery and said I will see you on the big day! Do you ladies think it's important to have a pre-op or will it be ok for me to go straight for surgery? x x x

Haven't they checked your medical history, taken pre op pics or taken your height and weight? Maybe you should ring and check if you need one.
Re: what happens at a pre-op, I'm not having one!!!!!
I had a pre-op a couple of weeks ago and it took nearly an hour and went through all my medical history, they ask lots of questions, take photo's, give you advice on what to do before your op e.g. take arnica, no alcohol etc. It seems quite strange that they don't want to know your medical history before an operation??! xx

I was.with spire and never had a pre op. I had to send a questionaire back with medical history. All was fine tho and op went well. I just don't think everyone gets one. Xx

I had 2 with my ps... I thought it very important as it made sure me and my ps were on the same page so I new that what I wanted was what I was going to get. I would consider asking for another appointment.

Re: what happens at a pre-op, I'm not having one!!!!!
I would be a bit worried about this - my pre op took an hour and a half. I had to take in a medical history questionnaire which I had filled in at home and the nurse went through it with me. She also checked my height, weight, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen levels and I had a urine test, blood test and mrsa swabs. Was a bit of a pain at the time but I'm glad they did so much, just for peace of mind that they had done everything possible to ensure I had a safe op. Xx

Well I have the consultation took about an hr to see my Pcc and PS, then that was it until surgery day. I was late for my surgery so when I arrived I was rushed into stockings, gown etc (this was good as couldn't be nervous) and then boom, it was all done. The medical was done at the consultation. Glad That mine worked out the way it did as I have the perfect pair of boobs, my surgeon listen to me and was direct. My recovery was good, the aftercare was fantastic and Overall I had an amazing experience.
As long as your happy the PS knows what u want with size, projection etc and you have disclosed all about your medical history then don't worry. Every company is different. If you are unsure contact the company and just ask, its your right and you are paying a lot of money for this.
Good luck.

Re: what happens at a pre-op, I'm not having one!!!!!
Sorry for the late reply! Thank you all, I will give them a ring just to make sure they don't think I've already had one lol! Otherwise I suppose they will just do whatever needs to be done on the day! Can ask those of you that had pictures taken what they were used for please? Is it just for their own before and after shots?

Re: what happens at a pre-op, I'm not having one!!!!!
I had a pre-op but only consisted of a blood test (probably to check blood clotting) and an MRSA swab. I filled in medical history form & my PS had already asked lots of questions at a previous consultation
If you have good medical history and are low risk they will prob check ur blood pressure, weight etc on the day of the BA.

I had the MRSA swap and filled out a medical history form while I was waiting to go in and then the PS did it again when I was in the consultation with her so that's all sorted. So maybe your right they will do the rest on the day. Thank you x

I find this a little strange hun.
My pre-op was quite quick, I had blood pressure, mrsa and a health questionaire to fill out.
My photos were done on the morning of my op.
I have heard before of girls not having pre-ops though hun.

I was expecting photos to be taken, but were never mentioned.
Why do they take photos tho?? wonder if its to do with litigation?

It's funny because the surgeon I have got works in other clinics which do pre-ops! But this particular clinic doesn't even though its the same surgeon! Might give them a ring tomorrow anyway just to double check x x x
