no point in bravado
Hi girls,
So its 3.45am here (uk time) and I have just woken up in the worst pain ever.
My back in completely in half and the very mild occasional pain from the side of my boobs has moved to an awful burning/aching feeling to where my sternum is. (I guess that bruise will finally come out now)
Its my own fault though - only day 4 yest and I took myself completely off meds, trying to be brave because the pain wasn't 'that bad'.
Trust me girls, from my exp...its not worth it. Keep taking ur meds until ur sure that the pain has subsided enough for u to come off them.
I guess I will try to go back to sleep now after drugging myself up on tramadol :( :( :( night night
xxxx

Everyone recovery is different sweetheart, so if your need your meds a little longer than others - Take them!
Hoping you're feeling better this morning lovely. xx
Re: no point in bravado
Hi. I am at a similar stage to you (6 days post op) and I really sympathize. My body has a really bad time with the effects of drugs (even a bog standard paracetomol makes me feel weird), so I am trying to do the same. But from what I've read on here, as you say too, it's a bad idea. I would say that my pain is now bearable (ex morning boob pain), and obviously don't try to do too much too soon.

Re: no point in bravado
hey girls!
Sor ry for the late reply. I was on tramadol all day so I was pretty much like a zombie and in and out of sleep for most of the day! HAHA!
I had to go out and buy a 34D bra because the one I was wearing was a tight 34B sports bra that was KILLING me. This one I've bought now is so much better though, having far less problems with pain, it's called a support bra from matalan, and whilst it's keeping everything lifted, it moulds my boobs lovely and not squeezing them in. I hope this is giving me the same support as a sports bra? Because tbh the sports bra i had before was pretty useless and didn't really feel supported in that anyway! xxx

Re: no point in bravado
Ah hun- I used to wake up at 4.15am every morning (I used to watch housewives of orange county and come dine with me- no idea why their on at that time) and I'd finally dose of again!
I can't speak for the pain meds as I only took them for 2 days then moved onto calpol! But all I say is don't be a hero- if u need them take them!!!!
I only had back ache the first 2 days then I made sure that after that I was up and walking round or sitting in an upright chair all day instead of louging on the sofa! And I honestly believe that helped me as I never suffered from morning boob either (thanks V pillow)
Hope u feel better soon chicky. It does get easier I promise! xxxx
