I had a breast aug, 4 years ago and my implant has been found to have
leaked into my lymph nodes and also found a lump yesterday in my breast
tissue.
They are not PIP so i was quite suprised as i was told that
they couldnt leak, anyhow of course i am wanting them removed but also
want to know of any surgeons you ladies have had that has removed the
lumps at the same time and put in new implants.
I have had 2
consultations and one of them said he couldnt remove the lumps, so i
really want someone who is a proper breast surgeon who is used to this
proceedure.
Also i dont know where to start with the implants as i
dont want it happening again, so am i best to go with Mentor, allergan
or nagor.
Any help on really good surgeons would be appreciated, i dont mind travelling for the right one
Thanks

Try James McDiarmid if you are down south (He works out of Plymouth and Cheltenham). He is really lovely, and I'm sure he could help you as he is a specialist reconstructive breast surgeon.

I'm going with him for my BA and lift (hopefully in August, not booked yet), and I'm having Nagor Impleo's, although I think you can choose a differet brand if there is something which you would prefer.

Good luck hun x

I had CUIs sweetheart and one of mine ruptured resulting in my having lymph nodes removed. Which implant make do you have?

Its generally not necessary to remove the lymph nodes at all should the implant leak beyond the capsule and most surgeons you'll find would be uncomfortable doing this, I still have one raised lymph node and am told it's fine and in time my body will naturally disperse anything that shouldn't be there, so don't worry too much about this.

My thorasic surgeon removed my lymph nodes for me as he was treating me at the time and they were causing me problems due my having an auto-immune disorder and my cosmetic surgeon replaced my implants.

I'd start at the very beginning babe, treat this op as if it were your first surgery, research the clinics in your area, go and see a few surgeons, take your time and note their opinions, then digest their surgery plans hun and go with the surgeon that offers you the most comfort and reassurance.

You're gonna be just fine hun, chances are you'll need only a change of implants and a possible capsulectomy.

If you need to chat further I can help answer any questions in regard to your rupture as well as a few other ladies here who have gone through the same sweetness, or if you'd prefer and need further reassurance we have an 'Ask the surgeon' section of the forum, the surgeons are all BAAPs registered and will be only too happy to help lovely. xx

Hi mine are also CUIs so i was quite suprised that they leaked, did you find out why yours ruptured?
Yeah i was wanting mine removed as i suffer from M.E and found that it has been worse sine the leakage so i am not too happy about leaving them there really, plus more seem to keep popping up.
Can i ask what make of implants you have now? as i really want ones with less chance of leakage as i dont want to go through all this again. I have already seen two surgeons one offering nagor the other allergan inspira ( i think it was). xx

he charged her £4.3 with nagor impleos, they are very good implants, they are the jelly baby type ones(if cut in half nothing will leak)... some places charge more for them... tbh i doubt you will get cheaper, i think his prices are very reasonable compared to the big cosmetic groups. Also with it being his own company/name on the line you will be assured a good standard of care and result.

im hoping to have my revision surgery with him, fingers crossed!

if you need to know anything else just let me know!

thanks for that, yeah thats pretty good as i have been quoted nearer £5000 from some other companies, which is a lot of money, especially when i wasnt expecting to have to have another op so soon.
Keep in touch and let me know if you go for surgery with him and i will too xx
