Pus from the incision
just had a shower and noticed pus on
My bra frim
My right incision. Ive had a lot of weird pulling from there like the incision.
Maybe I've been
overdoing but as I finished my antibiotics yday I hope I don't get infection.
Not sure whether to cover or let air into it.

hmmm maybe let air into it for a bit to see if it dries... tough call. PLEASE call your GP tomorrow for some different antibiotics. My surgeon told me theyre thinking that capsular contracture now may be related to bacteria entering so please get more antibiotics.

Yeah I've cleaned it with saline and has let it air. Think I'm gonna cover it I'm worried itl get infected.
I can't find any research into cc and links to infection. It's also my right boob that I havnt had a single shooting nerve pain. Apart from getting stabbing pains from the incision from the exact same spot since day 1. Gawd def gonna go drs and then call pcc and update her. Maybe I'm being over cautious and they do say nurses make the worst patients but I know signs and symptoms. Gawd I'm getting paranoid.

Re: Pus from the incision
Well from my own experience from having an infection, i would strap it back up to stop bacteria getting in, dont get the insicision wet at all, and book straight back in to get it checked over, to be on the safe side. Try not to keep touching it with your pinkies as well.
It might just a stich that has full disovled.
My experience of an infection is it wouldnt stop leaking like a tap was left dripping on. and i had the fever, hot sweats etc..
Try not to worry yourself babe, and get an appointment and get it checked over, even if u can get into your local gp tomorrow, they will check it over for you. my gp was pretty good like that. xxxx

Re: Pus from the incision
Hey sweetie, it's probably nothing to worry about at all babe, like Ruby, I too had an infection, but it was painful and I did also have a temp too.
I also very early post op secreted a yellow pus from my incisions, I was being monitored anyway at the time ad my clinic nurse told me it just liquid fat and nothing whatsoever to be concerned about, it was just the bodys natural way of getting rid of the bad stuff.
I would say though with any secretion of pus, don't wait to see your clinic nurse! 'IF' and I know the odds are that you're just fine babe, but 'IF' you are the very start of an infection, then the earlier it's picked up, the better chance of it not progressing, you can get it treated as I did, take the ant-biotics and it's gone! sorted!
Don't ignore pus like secretion lovely, get that checked out just to be sure. xx

Re: Pus from the incision
I would get it looked it, it may be nothing, but as cookie has said, it's best not to chance it with infections. Hopefully it is nothing, but a quick check over will ease any worries you may have.
