Re: WOW shock of terror
I too was declined for a loan, but managed to get a credit card through Halifax - it's 0% for 9 months on all purchases. I planning on paying as much off as I can in this time, then transferring over to another 0% card. Tesco's are also doing a 0% on purchases for 12 months.
I hope it all works out for you and you can get the funding for you newbies...xx

Yea I tried with Natwest. Spire offer 0% finance will have to give them a call tomorrow maybe and try and sort something out.
I don't want to get another credit card, I don't understand all this 0% balance transfer stuff.

0% means all you pay back is what you borrow, as long as you pay it back in the allotted time otherwise it goes to the standard APR which is usually 16%. The trick is though to apply for another 0 % card about 2 months before your current one runs out and transfer the balance. ****but make sure you cut it up so your not tempted to use it for other things*** otherwise you'll be paying it off forever.
I've just paid the balance of my op £2500 and i've already cut my card up so I can't use it. I always said i'd never have a credit card - but just couldn't wait anymore for boobs - it took me ages to save a £1000 what with having a 9 month old. But have gone back to work now so know that i'll be able to pay off credit card.
Hope this makes sence - have run on a bit, sorry...xx

Didn't know you could swap them around. Think i'll shop around for loans before I go doing any more credit cards

Re: WOW shock of terror
Sorry you've been declined hun, have you checked your credit report? Experien give you a 30 day free trial so you can check it, i found that useful, hope something comes up x
Re: WOW shock of terror
My credit is fine, think it declined me cos of my salary. But have just tried again for £3000 and it's accepted me, so if I can find the other £1250 i'm flying.

Re: WOW shock of terror
Be careful how many loans you apply for because for each one you get turned down your credit rating drops, so maybe take the 3k loan and try for a seperate 1k overdraft or something? Good luck x

Re: WOW shock of terror
I think it is just the way it is at the mo hun, i got a 0% interest free loan in 2007 to pay off my lipo in one year and when i applied for my boobs i was turned down! I had to pay cash unfortunately, but at least it is over and done with now.
