how do u measure new boobs and when to do it.
Ok so I'm eight days post op I kind of like to know what sort of size i am for now, my aftercare nurse said I was very swollen inbetween my boobs. I know I wont dare go anywhere to get measured for a long time, I had a nipple lift and I think it would make people gasp at how sore they look, how do I get an idea of what size I am xxx

I believe you measure just under bust around rib cage and then around the fullest part of your bust, if you measure the same around the bust you are an AA if you measure 1 inch more you are an A cup, 2 inches B , 3 inches C, 4 inches D, 5 inches DD etc etc.. this is only an estimate as all bra's fit differently and different shops have different techniques.
I was measured today and this seems to tally with what I was measured at.
You will still be swolllen tho, so take this in to considertation xx

There is a ton of info on the net about this and most of it is rubbish. The advice to avoid is the "add 4 inches to your band size if its even and five if its odd" - this dates back to when Warners were first issuing bra measurement techniques in the 1930's and was before bras were elasticated.
Now you should just take your band size (measured snug to take account of the elastic) and round it up to the next even number, so if it measures 31, your a 32. Cup size is exactly as Lovely@41 said, one size for every inch difference between band and bust measurements.
I always thought I was a 36 band but with a 31 inch measurement, I am looking more likely to be a 32. That makes my estimated cup size an E/F which I am more than happy to try out!!
Good luck. x

im going to get measured for first time tomorrow in order to buy a non wired padded bra. I had my op done only two weeks ago, so pretty sure you can get measured anytime. The bra shops I get measured in dont measure you topless anyway most places want you to keep a thin t-shirt top on or a bra you are already in from your surgery which ill be in when they measure me.
