Sportsbra Snug Fit?
Hi All,
Yesterday i received my sportsbra that i've ordered for my BA, my surgeon advised me to buy a 34DD sportsbra. i am a small 34B now.
i tried them on last night and the band seems very tight...... excuse me for maybe asking a silly question but are they supposed to be quite tight (i've never had to buy one before)
this is the sportbra i have bought

Re: Sportsbra Snug Fit?
Hi Zeezee,
I have these sports bras and the band is tight but i can still place my fingers under the band and pull slightly. Its also best to start on the loosest clip and as the bra ages and the swelling decreases then increase to the second and finally the tightest clip. I find these bra's hold u securely throughout the day however its prob best to have a slightly bigger one for the night as its more comfortable.
Everyone is different but I found this held me securely which caused less aching.
Also u can get these bra's on e-bay for £10.99, I bought 3 at that price as they can be as expensive as £29.99.
xx

Re: Sportsbra Snug Fit?
mine are quite tight but they need to be to hold the implant in place! the mistake i made was buying support bras from m&s which have lace on them and are SO itchy and uncomfortable so i wouldnt advise buying them! x

I think sports bra's in general do tend to feel a bit tighter on the band so that they can give the support they're supposed to. You could try different brands, as they do tend to vary. Good luck with your op. xx

i am in work on the morning of my BA to help keep my mind of it but i know i'll still be a nervous wreck. i'm mostly worried about the being put to sleep and hoping i dont wake up in the middle of it. (i know i'm being silly) your boobs look huge in your avatar.

Re: Sportsbra Snug Fit?
lol it is the lonsdale one she has, cos i wanted one and couldnt get my size!! ggrrrr lol. make sure the band is wide enough tho for after surgery as you can be quite swollen around your ribs. I had to go up a band size.....but after a week, they were too loose so had to buy another one which is my normal band size, a 34!

You won't remember a thing however I had the same fear, when I came around from the GA i remember saying I'm alive, I have big boobs and then giggling. I was just so happy I don't think anything else mattered.
You'll be fine

Re: Sportsbra Snug Fit?
haha yes that is a good way of thinking
i just want it to be over and done with now, i only found out last week when i would be having my op so i've only really had just over 2 weeks to wait but even that short amount of time has driven me mad (and proabably my boyfriend).
if i could stop thinking about it for a while the maybe i would stop worrying, but its constantly on my mind from the minute i wake up to the moment i fall asleep. i've been been dreaming about it - last nights dream was that i had the op but my right arm wouldn't work afterwards so i woke up wiggling my arm just to check haha xx

Re: Sportsbra Snug Fit?
Zeezee,
I had the same dream about my arm not working a few nights ago. I woke up and my arm was asleep because I was laying on it. That's one of the things that has freaked me out because I know a girl who's arm does not work. She told me that if you throw her in a pool she will drown because she can no longer swim with that arm.
I will have to research the sports bras. My surgeon likes the boobies wrapped for the first week or so and then I will have to wear a sports bra.

That is very sad for your friend, was that caused by a BA?

Zeezee,
Yes it was caused by her breast augmentation. Her breast look great but it's been about three years so the damage is permenant.
