Shirts
I was wondering what I should buy to wear a few days after surgery. I live in Florida so it has been over 90 degrees outside. I am also planning a vacation two weeks after surgery. I'm going to visit a few close friends and family members. We are taking a drive up the east coast (of the U.S.) and stopping to see each family for a few days at a time. I am lost on what type of clothing I should buy. I am normally a t-shirt and tank top kind of girl on the weekends and after work. Should I just buy the tops I would normally wear a size up? I buy mediums now and I am a 36B. I should end up at a 36D or DD after surgery. I was thinking I could pick up some stretchy t-shirts in a large. Any advice? I really want to have a few shirts ready so I can feel comfortable right away .-Tia

Re: Shirts
I wore a lot of tanks in the early post op days as I could step into them and pull them up so I didn't have to raise my arms. I went up quite a bit in the boobie size but wear the same size in most tops especially anything with a bit of stretch... The only type of tops I go bigger in are button up tops or anything structured like blaser style jackets or corset style tops.

Re: Shirts
go for stretchy fabrics....with these u wont need to go a size up, i didnt n i went from a 34c to a 34ff. if it doesnt have any give, then def go a size up. Stick to button up tops for the first few days n mayb the first week, as lifted your arms up for a vest will hurt too much. n for the second week, im sure you'll be able to do that okay. xx

Re: Shirts
deffo stretchy tops anything u can get overt ur feet legs and bum and up makes it alot easier. i do have my mum to help but have found that my arms wont flex as you can feel your boobs getting tight so i have found things i can put on myself as then i no i dont have to stretch anywhere xxx
Re: Shirts
As the girls say anything soft and stretchy. I have lived in mainly button up at the front things as I was told not to lift my arms above my head ( would have been too painful anyway). If you're having unders you will probably be given some kind of strapping to wear, this can be annoyingly high up on the chest so it does limit your 'look' for a little while but all worth it in the end! x
