Advice to a newbie anyone? Empty Advice to a newbie anyone?

Post by Malika 18th June 2011, 3:04 am

Hey everyone I'm new here and I'm pretty nervous :s. I'm 26 and I lost alot of weight recently, which has left me with half deflated boobs :(. I used to be a 34G but I've gone down 4 cup sizes and now I'm left with lots of excess skin. I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice on mastopexy. I know that if I ever have a baby I wont be able to breast feed, and I understand the scars can be pretty hideous (and I'm at risk of that more due to being of a carribean decent) but I'd love to hear from people who have had the surgery, Is it super painful? How long were you unable to do stuff for? Would anyone mind me seeing there pics? How can I minimise scarring? Ect. I'm planning on having the mastopexy with a implant in August as I miss my boobs so much lol, it's so depressing having lost all this weight and now I'm more self concious than I was before :(

It best not go for surgery eat oranges more and massage your boobs with olive oil. Little bit of exercise and your boobs will be in shape.

Hi malika, I think you have had some bad information on mastoplexy, or lift... as you may be able to breastfeed, it is a risk but not for sure. Yes you will have scars, but a good surgeon will leave you with thin neat lines that will continue to fade for many months and a lot of us that have had a lift end up with very pale scars, if you are one of the few unlucky ones who have trouble with scarring there are treatments available to reduce the scars. A lot of woman like myself are not bothered by the scars at all as they are a very small price to pay for having full perky boobs. As for the pain everyone is different, personally I was not bothered by the lift portion of my op at all I found it only midly uncomfortable, but not painfull and after 2 weeks I was back feeling normal and doing most things except a few such as vaccuming the floors. As for minimizing the scars you will have to follow your doctors instructions, and we are not to do anything to them until they are healed and sealed then there are options such as bio oil and like myself I use silicone sheets over them with good results. I will be happy to share my photos once you are an active member.
