Under Wire Bra
For all the ladies that had a lift with implants, when were you given the go ahead to wear an under wire bra? I'm still not allowed and this sports bra is really unflattering.I'm at day 30 today.

Re: Under Wire Bra
A lot of people are told 6 weeks, some even 12 weeks in a sports bra. It'll be worth it in the long run hun.
Re: Under Wire Bra
That gives me something to look forward to in a few weeks :) I'm having a bad boob day today. The incisions are angry and red and my areola's are swollen more than usual today.I'll be glad when I'm at the 3 months mark!

Re: Under Wire Bra
Aw hun, probably not best to wear underwire with angry scars, hopefully in a few weeks :-)

very easily
Re: Under Wire Bra
if youve still got swelling and the scars arent completely healed, then hold off underwires a bit longer. Maybe look for some pretty non wired normal bras. Have a look in the maternity section for bigger cup sizes

Re: Under Wire Bra
Oh god, I stupidly hadnt realised that obviously the underwire would be in exactly the same place as the scar . I'm going to a big party on week 5 and hope I can at least wear a bra that doesn't show above my fab lowish cut dress! Thats a really good tip abbie to try the maternity section.

Wow i didn't know you weren't supposed to wear an underwired bra for a while! Thinking about it now it makes sense but i just never considered it!

Re: Under Wire Bra
Wearing underwire too early can distort and damage breast tissue and scar tissue. It can also affect the shape of your implants.I had forgotten to ask the doctor about this on my last visit.
