Re: What bra???
Hi sequinssparkle,
What type of bra do you mean? Most PS recommend buying a compression bra for straight after to op. I got mine from Macom with a discount for mentioning that my op was through MyBreast and had to wear it, even in bed, for 8 weeks.
After that, I bought a few soft cotton sports bras. Don't spend too much money on these, as your boobies are likely to change shape as they settle. So Asda, Tesco ones are ideal. I got mine from M&Co because they do DD sizes. I'm planning on buying some nicer ones in a couple more months' time, by which time I'm sure you'll also have had some bra buying practice too.
Good luck with it!

Re: What bra???
Hey sequinssparkle,
A few ladies have asked me where I got the bra I'm wearing in my avatar - it's nice and soft and only cost £8. I know it's not the same as being able to try before you buy, but you can buy it online here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: What bra???
Hi ya,
I found bra shopping a nightmare too!!!
eventually I found a 2 pack of nice comfy non-wired and non padded bras from Primark, they were £8 and actually really good quality and comfort. One is grey and the other is black, they also do up at the back. I also went onto the SLOGGI website and ordered 2 x double comfort support bras at £9 each crop top style, the delivery was free and also next day. They were a little difficult to get on as you have to pull them over your head so having someone help was much appreciated, I did get stuck a few times lol
All surgeons give out different advice and mine said that I didnt need to wear a bra all the time, basically just wear whatever i was comfortable in. I only wear a sports top if im going out, otherwise when im indoors and sleeping i wear nothing!!!! When i put my bra on for the first time i only lasted about 10mins in it lol just go with what your body tells you and listen to your boobs, if its uncomfortable remove it :-)
If you do buy some bras buy them bigger than your expecting to be as you will need to allow for the swelling. I started off in 36a's, so I bought 38c's, even then the 38's were very tight round the torso due to swelling.
If you need any more advice please feel free to ask and good luck :-)

Re: What bra???
hey, i bought two shock absorbers 32 c and 32 d and a sports bra from m and s. my ps said by band wont change when i asked him if i should get 34s. im finally realising its real now! hehe, i tried on the bras and they fitted which i was confused about as im an aa not a c or d...
gotta take one bk as i realised they are over the head lol
i saw some in sports direct but even though they said sports bra they look like a crop top and not supportive. went to primark but didnt have my size...well size to be!

Re: What bra???
I just got my M&Co bra delivered today (as recommended by Kookie) and it is absolute bliss - so comfortable and light against my extremely over-sensitive boobs!
I would highly recommend it and plan to get one in black just as soon as they are back in stock. Kookie has posted the link further up this thread if you want to check it out.

Re: What bra???
That's great news star2angel! I'm so pleased you're happy with the bra, they keep new boobies super comfy don't they? Another lady commented on the fact that they only go up to DD online. But I'm pretty sure they have bigger sizes in their stores. Spread the word!! x
