my new boobs are different cup sizes :(
hi. i had BA june 2, 2011. my right boob has been smaller since the surgery. i told my dr. i wanted a full C/small D. got 430 CCs of saline in each. i was a 34A before surgery. Left boob is a C cup and right is a B cup now. very disapointing mainly b/c they are different cup sizes. The RN told me my right chest muscle was bigger on the right (arm/boob fat) at the pre op, and 2 weeks later at my surgery the same amount of CCs were put in each. i didn't know if muscle mass has anything to do with boob size after surgery??? i work out about 5x/week and think my chest muscles are big b/c of the boob/arm fat i had before surgery. my implants are behind the muscle. any info is appreciated.

all i would say hun is give it time....let them know ur concerns but then try to put them to th back of your mind as u r so early in the recovery and when your muscles start to relax, everything will start to even out and settle xx

Hun
My right boob is bigger than the left at the moment, but this is mainly because I am right handed to righty has moved into position where lefty is still sitting quite high!!!! They look a little odd but I know lefty will catch up. You're early post op and there are many changes for your boobs to go through.
Why don't you do a picture diary each week so you can look back and really see the changes? xxxx

I have the same problem. Pre op my right boob was always bigger but now my lefty is ?? When I asked my PS said I had more breast tissue in the left, don't know about that but hope they balance out once they drop and fluff. Getting really excited about all of this fluffing maklarky! xx

Hiya, my boobs were really different to start with, I did have diff size implants as 1 boob was bigger than the other, but for ages after I thought they were odd. I am 14 months post op now and they are fine, and have been for some time. Although they are not exactly the same but who's are I am extremely happy with the result. You really are early days to be worrying to much hun xx

Re: my new boobs are different cup sizes :(
what exactly is "fluffing"??? your boobs actually look bigger after time? i have a few friends that got saline and silicone implants and none of them appeared bigger afterwards.

Re: my new boobs are different cup sizes :(
Hi lisat, my understanding of it is, when you have implants under the muscle it can be quite tight at first so it holds the implant down a little, then when the muscle relaxes, the implant can drop into place and "fluff" out, making the implant sometimes appear fuller . I don't think it happens with everyone from what I've been reading on here this last week or so, but it's all very exciting! Hope this helps. x

Re: my new boobs are different cup sizes :(
Just to add to this thread.. Now that my strapping is off I love the look of my boobs but then I took a picture and my right boob looks considerably smaller than the left! ( when the bandages were still on, the left looked bigger which is very odd!).
Any way just looking for reassurance really I suppose. Wondering if its too early to be bugging my PS? I showed my friend and she agrees. Xx

Re: my new boobs are different cup sizes :(
Hey Lisa, it's not at all unusual for women to have one breast that looks larger early post-op sweetheart, I had the same, mine evened out at 10 weeks post-op, mine was also higher too, so I had wonkey weird boobs for quite some time and spent a long length of my recovery in tears that that would be my result!
How wrong could I be! 10 weeks post-op was my marker when everything change, including my breast size! They evened up and I regained the symmetry and they now look great!
I did however throughout my recovery keep my surgeon well informed and took guidance from him throughout, I also ensured that my concerns were documentated so that should I have a complication, my progress would have been noted and I'd have good grounds for re-op shop it be needed.
I'm not saying you may result in a re-op babes at all. What I'm saying is that ANY woman who has concerns should always keep their sirgeon informed of their unhappiness and note the problem.
We're here for you Lisa, as everyone has said, it's common to have different sized breasts, so give yourself and your new boobs a little more time hunni xx

Re: my new boobs are different cup sizes :(
@ Lovely = I am currently 6 weeks (1 1/2 months) since my surgery. My breasts have been different sizes for more than half that time now and my surgeon & his staff all know how dissatisfied I am at how small they have turned out so far. I realize that everyone will tell me to wait, but they are no where near the size I wanted and there's no amount of 'fluffing' that will happen to make them better without additional surgery. In that way, I am very upset with my surgeon and his staff.
Wow! Am I just venting here? LOL! We both have some time to go before we see the 'final' results, I just hope you are more happy than I am.

Great thread! It's really comforting to know that I don't need to obsess over things like differences in size for at least the first few months! Yetti and cookie, your stories are very encouraging! Thank you!

Re: my new boobs are different cup sizes :(
I am over 8 weeks post op. My breasts are different sizes too. It really bothers me. Stops me wearing tighter and low fitting tops - defeating object of getting them done in first place!!!
My surgeon placed a 325cc and 365cc in other to even out the 'look', not as one boob was actually smaller than the other. My spine is slightly twisted..funnily never bothered me too much before. now I have another problem, when the other is fixed!
i have all along informed the clinic via emails, and was satisfied at the 6 week review to be told that if it is possible and worthwile to correct they will do this for me. Obviosuly, I do not want to have another op. I have 3 kids and the hassle has to be taken into account. They do look slightly better than they did a few weeks ago, however, there is a difference in circumference of the different implants so one is higer and fuller than the other too. I was told that is he was to increase the smaller one up to match the other, it would look bigger as would stick out, due to my spine twist.
I just want two boobs the same size. When naked it bothers me. At 6 weeks I fitted into a 32DD bra. However now 32D is more like the size of the 'smaller' one. i was hoping for a full C...but they do look mroe full B/C as measure bigger don't they?!
In a dilema!!! What to do? Friends reassure me saying well I have oen bigger than other..and it's not that noticable! But when you've spent £4K and didn't have a boob size difference before...I don't want be disappointed on a daily basis...I wanted confidence and to feel womanly again. I do feel womanly as I was so flat after breast feeding...but the confidence is not there.
Good to hear others are sort of in a similar boat..but I think mine won't even as the sizes are differnt...not due to fluffing or whatever.
any advice?
