Very Embarrasing!
Hi,
This is so embarrassing but im going to sk anyway! Since my op which was on wednesday I havent been able to go to the toilet number 2 - (cringe)
My stomach feels so uncomfortable and I feel like a beached whale!
Is this normal? I have been drinking lots of fluids, fruit juice and smoothies but it doesnt seem to be helping and im getting a bit worried as today will be 3 days now.
Thanks
Kat x

Re: Very Embarrasing!
Hi Hun
Ive heard this is quiet common you could try one of the natural laxatives, they sell the bottles of fig juice in boots which is apparently good.
Hope you feel better soon x x

Re: Very Embarrasing!
Congrats on getting your :tit: .
It's quite common after a genral anaesthic, i think the anaesthic slows your whole system down and makes it a bit sluggish. A mild laxative should get you kick started again.

Re: Very Embarrasing!
I agree with the others that this is normal. I've already bought fybogel and sennakot just in case! I remember having this problem after having my wisdom teeth out, and it was worse than the pain in my mouth so I can sympathise hun!
Hope it sorts itself out soon...

Re: Very Embarrasing!
Yep, very normal hun, mine was bloated for a while after, even after i'd gone to the loo. I didnt take any laxatives, i dont really like stuff like that especially when its not very severe. I drank loads of water and ate dried fruit and after a few days i was fine x
Re: Very Embarrasing!
Thats normal hun its the GA. After my op i found i couldnt even go for a wee, i just couldnt lol so i didnt go all evening or night. I think the GA slows down the system a bit lol x

I find senekot is brilliant for constipation, i usually get it at that time of the month so I'm quite used to it x

Re: Very Embarrasing!
Oh is it called Lactulose?? I had that when pregnant - it's basically just a solution of large sugar molecules which...ahem...forces everything through. It tastes gross but is really good, and isn't medicine atall. I'd forgotten about that - will try and get some as I'd rather take that than laxatives. I've taken them before and they can really hurt...

Hey hun.
I made sure I took fibogel. This is a natural fibre that help you go without any "urgency"!!! I would deffo take some. Also going for a walk will help too, as this will get things moving. Walking will be fine, just take it nice and easy.
