Accuracy of implants in bra? Empty Accuracy of implants in bra?

Post by Chanhassen 5th June 2011, 2:37 pm

Hi ladies,

I was just wondering how realistic the implants-in-bra test is when choosing the size of the implants you want? How accurate a guide was it for you? Did you end up much bigger or much smaller?
I was told at my appointment that I would lose about 10% once they were 'in' - i'm having partial unders?

Thanks,
Chan x

Hi hun i found that mine looked quite a bit bigger when i tried them on in a bra,but then i was silly and tried the on in my old push up padded bra!For a more accurate result try them with a sports bra and tight white top to get a better idea.Good luck x

I did this many times with my ps and with many size implants... and I say its not very accurate.

My ps suggested 500cc to get the look I wanted (I showed him pics) but when I tried the implant I thought it looked huge, in the end my ps ended up putting in 540cc to get the look I wanted and he was spot on! I had to trust him and I am glad I did!

Its really hard to know how the implants will look once they are in so I say use pictures and your ps's suggestions when deciding.

When I went for a consultation a few years ago, the surgeon got me to try the implants he had recommended in a bra but I told him they looked far too big, and he said they look a lot smaller when they are inside you. I just thought what is the point of trying them on then?!

The surgeon I ended up going with didn't get me to try implants on, but I did the rice test at home and they do look a fair bit smaller when they're in. This might just be because my skin is still stretching - when I've dropped and fluffed they might look more like the rice test ones.

Thanks ladies.

I'm hoping the size I've chosen (240cc) will look a bit smaller when they are in than they do in a bra! I can't go down a size as my ps said they wouldn't fit anatomically (would look to narrow for my body?). I want to be a B cup (I'm an aa at the moment) - do you think that sounds about right?

Hello.. When I tried on my 300cc's I was told realistically, it would look like size 325cc when it's actually In me.

I had 225cc from 30a (size 6-8, 7.5 stone, 5'5") and I'm now 30d, but I look like a large b/small c (haven't fluffed yet though). What are your stats - weight, height, rib measurement? If you have a smaller band size you may well measure bigger than a b. I have pictures which I'm happy to share if you want. Xx

What you measure won't be what you look like. Often, fake boobs can measure a E/F/FF etc but will look about a C/D.

It's always important to give your surgeon pics of what you want to look like, as one man's D is another man's G.

Hi Rach,

I've just seen your reply (doh!) my stats are: 5'7" 56kgs 32aa. The nurse said I might end up a c cup as my bandwidth is quite small? I would love to see your pics if you don't mind still? It's really hard to work out the sizing thing!

Thanks,
