Round unders or tear drop overs
Hi,
I had my first consultation with Charles nuduka at spire yesterday and he recommended that I would be suitable for either 275cc tear drop overs or 275 round unders. From my research I was hoping I would be suitable for round overs because I do advanced pole fitness and rock climbing so my chest muscles are pretty strong. I thought overs would mean I'd heal quicker and wouldn't have trouble with my muscles distorting the implant. Unfortunately he said I didnt have enough breast tissue for rounds but tear drops over would work.
I'm really worried about the idea of tear drops incase they rotate. I plan to have children in the future which could result in my breasts changing size. I just wondered if anyone could give me their opinions? I'm going to see some more surgeons next week so it will be interesting to see if they agree? Thanks! X

that's a difficult one. sounds like overs would suit your lifestyle better. you could get smaller overs? or if you are underweight reach your optimum weight?
sorry thats not very helpful.

Re: Round unders or tear drop overs
I would agree with springstep123 about the lifestyle choice and don't know enough about breast-feeding with implants to be of much help there either sorry. But I decided to go for unders because my PS said under the muscle made capsular contracture less likely. I'm quite active too but haven't noticed any distortion. Remember you won't be doing any pole fitness or rock climbing for at least 8wks!
Have you tried writing down the pros and cons of each and seeing which is better that way?
Good luck with your decision anyway! xxx

Yeah it's tricky, he said that was the trade off! My pole intructor has round unders and she can do amazing stuff on the pole so I'm swaying that way. It worries me with the teardrops because they could rotate at any time and you'd need to get them sorted out ASAP I'd imagine as they'd look so odd. The ps said he's only ever seen it happen twice but it still concerns me. Can't wait to hear what the others say. Thanks for replying! Xx

Re: Round unders or tear drop overs
I have just had teardrop overs and i was also very worried about rotation but my ps explained to me that the chances of rotation under "normal" circumstances (i.e. not under constant use/porn star!) and as long as the ps makes a suitable pocket that is correct for the implant, rather than a large and imprecise hole, the implants should stay put. Also, teardrops in the UK only come as textured and this encourages the breast tissue to knit with the implant.
I am three days post op and the first thing i remember when i was coming round from the GA was two nurses and the recovery nurse all peering inside my gown and saying how natural they looked at just 45mins old!
I couldn't have round implants as i didn't have enough tissue either. I was worried and the only advice i can give you is to go with what you feel comfortable with in the end. gather all the info you need to decide and then make your judgement. good luck!
