2nd consult tomorrow
Quite excited about it - going to Harley Medical group in Brighton. I'm a little apprehensive though as I've heard they charge you a £500 deposit before you even see the surgeon? I guess that must mean that the first consult goes much more in depth. I guess I'll see how they compare with MYA tomorrow. Will update you all tomorrow evening girls! xxx

Re: 2nd consult tomorrow
I agree, for me it was the most important thing that I met, felt comfortable and really trusted the surgeon - think they are having a laugh wanting that much without seeing the surgeon..
With Mybreast you only ever meet with the surgeon (as many times as you need) and deposit is £250 (only downer is they currently don't have any surgeons in Brighton which is where I am - so it's London for me..)

Re: 2nd consult tomorrow
I went with Harley, and to be honest i was also a bit annoyed that you have to pay that money up front. However i chose to go with them because my friend when with them and i wanted the same surgeon as i knew he did a brilliant job. I am now 10 days post op and i am so pleased i went with them, i think he has done a fantastic job and i totally trusted his judgment. I had Dr Malik.
So far I have had excellent service from them - well worth it.

Re: 2nd consult tomorrow
Not too good for customer satisfaction!!! I think most of us would be put off with this policy before we start. But I am sure it would not have any effect on service etc. If you have decided that is who you wish to go with... just need to change your thinking on this one. I wish you well and hope you are comfortable with all the choices and decisions you both agree on. xx

Re: 2nd consult tomorrow
I paid £120 for my 1st consultation which covers any further consultations up to a year. Only had one information pack in the post since the 1st meeting no badgering from them.
Am going for 2nd consult next week. Lovely people at Spire, can't fault them even on the phone they are polite and kind.
