Upgrade to responsive or soft touch???
Hello Ladies
I really hope someone can help me as I am very confused!
I've had my consultation with MYA and have been offered 2 upgrades as follows:-
Responsive - £ 308 extra (softer implant)
Soft Touch - £ 461 extra (harder filled gel which prevents rippling)
I am unsure what this means? Does it mean that if I don't upgrade then my implants could 'ripple'?
Has anyone else had either upgrade and is it worth it? I thought as the price is so high anyways all implants should be fantastic without having to pay even more to upgrade?
Thanks in advance ladies xxxx

Re: Upgrade to responsive or soft touch???
hi, i wasnt offered anything, they just used the standard cui allergan implant with me. I know rippling is supposedly more likely with the less breast tissue u have, but to me this sounds like they r mayb trying to make u pay more. Surely if the surgeon recommends the right size for you, rippling should be minimal regardless of what type of implant you have!?

Thanks Jen, that's what I thought! The way my mind works is that if I don't have the 'best' offered then something is going to go wrong! But like you say it's just more money for them at the end of the day. Don't know what to do. Thanks for your reply.

Re: Upgrade to responsive or soft touch???
Hi hun. Unfortunately all implants can ripple. The firmer implants have a reduced % chance of rippleing. The warranty on the more expensive implants are life time where as the standard cui implants that mya use only have 10 years. All implants are different. I would research the implants you have been offered and make an informed decision. I plan to have a further ba in the next 10 years after having children so the cui were fine for me.
Re: Upgrade to responsive or soft touch???
i think its odd tho that they would suggest tyhese...i mean, no one ones to get rippling!! but if the standard implants were that 'bad' then no one would ever have surgery!! i think most peopl perhaps hav a standard implant, n i thinks its those who have had complications in the past who tend to have the more expensive ones. Mine feel great at 4 and three quarter weeks post op, and ilove how they look already! im totally happy with my 'standard' implant.lol
did they even mention using a standard implant? xx

Re: Upgrade to responsive or soft touch???
yes Im very happy with my 'standard implant' too but like Misf1 says check out what these other 2 are before you decide in case there is something fabulous about one of them that makes you want them :) better that than finding out AFTER you'd have liked them x

Re: Upgrade to responsive or soft touch???
I looked at different types of implants that offer life time guarentee ect but then i see most people for one reason or another will change there implant after 10-15 years any way so kinda thought the lifetime gurentee was pointless but thats just my opinion !! I wasnt offered any thing other than the cui and Im happy with what I have so far, the only other implant I was interested in was the nagor but Transform dont use these at the moment but fingers crossed in 10 yrs time they will lol x x x
Re: Upgrade to responsive or soft touch???
Yeah I know what you mean, chances are i will have another BA within 10 years anyway especially after having kids

I really wouldn't say the £153 difference was worth it at all, but that's just my own opinion babe, I have the bog standard CUI's and felt my friends boobs who has the soft touch and it has to be said that feeling, mine actually felt softer, but hers were 'unders' so I guess having more breast tissue gave me the additional softness to my breasts...
I'd stick with the responsive if it's an FDA approved implant you're wanting, the price increase between the two in the Inspira range is madness! and as Jen and misf1 said, Rippling can occur whatever implant you have.
But do your own research before deciding hun. xx
Re: Upgrade to responsive or soft touch???
like the girls have said, research everything, then u should have nothing to regret once your all sorted!! :) xx
