Advice BA in Sept - When will I be able to run Empty Advice BA in Sept - When will I be able to run

Post by aliwoo 18th May 2011, 9:42 pm

Hi ladies,

Firstly thanks for all the excellent advice already on here......I have booked Dr Moraci from HMG on Sept 19th.

He has adviced overs and we agreed D cup and 'natural look' from a 34-36 b/c ish, not sure as I have lost about 2st and not been measured for years.

Now, my question.....How long on average before I will be able to start running again? I train alot and was trying to find out when and what i'll be able to manage?

I also have a very active occupation and only have a week booked off work!

Also, any advice on bra's to take with me would be great. I am liking the Medical Z bra?

Thanks in anticipation.

You'll probably be advised no excercise till 6 weeks post-op sweetness, even after the 6 week period don't be disappointed if it takes you a little time to regain your fitness level. Your body will have undergone major surgery and needs time to heal, so be sure you listen to it hun. xx

I like running too, and I am allowing 6 weeks, meaning I'll probably be okay to run at the beginning of July. I want to train for a race in October so that should be just about enough. (Will be interesting to feel how my running changes with boobs)
You aiming for something in particular yourself?

I know how you feel hun. I've got another three weeks!!!! till I can run again. It's driving me crazy. I would defo allow 6 weeks at least.
And bra's, like Jen I got mine from asda and tesco, asda ones were on sale at £2 (bargain) and tesco was £4. Surgeon said they were fine xx

Thanks ladies. Not aiming for anything in particular as I'd planned all my events purposely before my BA. I also personally train 6 of my friends free of charge so just need to right a programme for them whilst I'm incapacitated. They'll be grateful not to have me shouting at them for 6 weeks!! Thanks again all.
