Have I been fobbed off??
Hi girls
I went for my 3 month post op surgeon visit today ( first time I've seen surgeon since op) I've rang up and spoken to nurse re my concerns but this is first time I've spoken to surgeon . She asked me if I was happy and I basically told her no not really as I've got adultery still and one nipple is over inch higher than other and all breast tissue and implant on that breast is now below nipple level if you know what I mean . She basically told me tough , as I had slight asymetry before it was obviously going to be more noticeable with implants . My point is if she knew that the implants would make asymmetry worse she should have suggest a way in order to correct this I've heard of girls on here that have had marked asymmetry and nipple issues that there surgeons have been able to go some way to correcting not making worse . Am I asking too much or do you think I have a point xxx

Re: Have I been fobbed off??
I totally think you have a point hunni.
If nothing else your PS should of told you having implants would make your personnel asymmetry worse.
Most of the girls on here with noticeable asymmetry have had different size implants in each breast to counter it out slightly. Was that offered to you?

Re: Have I been fobbed off??
No she told me that my asymmetry didn't warrant different size implants and I told her today that my fear was that as the tissue stretches it will get worse and she said " yeh it probably will " oh right cheers for that she didn't even offer to see me again in a few months to see if it gets any better which I know it won't she basically told me it's going to get worse and tough get on with it I'm considering calling head office and demanding a second opinion but wanted some others views on here ;-(

Re: Have I been fobbed off??
i agree with butterfly, if you had noticeable asymmetry before the op and weren't offered different sized implants then surely you have grounds for something to be done to correct it?! that sounds an awful and very unprofessional way for a PS to respond, after all the money we pay for our breasts it is not too much to ask that they are done correctly and that we are happy afterwards.
Have they said whether they will see you again sometime to review the asymmetry or is she just completely refusing to accept any responsibility? xx

Re: Have I been fobbed off??
Complain hun, send it in writting too and ask for anything they say to be put in writting. What your surgeon has said is disgusting and it some how seems doubly worse because a woman said it to you and she should know how a woman feels about her breasts

I think your surgeon should have told you pre-op that there was a possibility of the assymmetry being more noticeble post-op, she's the expert and that's what you paid her for!
Don't settle for her bullying you into accepting that you're the one to blame here, you're not!
Go back and tell her you're not satisfied with the results babe, you were NOT told or warned 'pre-op if this happening and you would now like her to deal with the problem, ensure EVERYTHING you say is written down.
If she refuses go higher, say that you'd like to speak with the clinic manager and you would like to use the complaints procedure.
If yyou sit back and say nothing, you'll get nothing babe - You need to speak up and tell them that you're not satisfied and would like them to do something to fix it.
Exhaust every avenue babe, but don't give in!
There's a few of us here who have had problems when complaining hun, so if you need any further help just give us a shout
