Post by rosecaroline720 12th May 2011, 9:42 am

Hiya i'm Rose, new to the forum but have been on *********** for a while and was given a link to here :) I'm 18 and am hoping to have a BA this June.

I've always been a 30AA and would love to be a 30B/32B so am having 210cc with MyBreast (Dr Shehan Hettieratchy) but am being given a call later to make deposit and book my date..no idea whether it's normal to be nervous now? I feel like i've made my decision but don't want to regret it. Does anyone on here have any advice as to whether i'm doing the right thing? I've booked my holiday from work as I was given the date of 15th June and i've been in and out of counselling/therapy due to depression and body issues for years and finally feel that I can change this one part of me that bothers me so much! Would really appreciate any advice :)

Oh p.s. I have been advised that as I began growing at 13 and then stopped and have not changed since, it is unlikely I will grow any more.

Hiya and welcome to the forum wavey

Well done for going through therapy and coming out the other end a much stronger person! I too have been to CBT for depression and body issues (I saw myslef so much bigger than I actually was) and now feel like a much stronger person that I am now in control of my life.

Only you can work out if you are doing the right thing for you huni. (sorry I know that isn't very helpful)!

xxxxx

Your back size won't change after surgery sweetness, just your cupsize, so from what you said you're looking for a 30B/30C this is because a 32B is the equivilent to a 30C.

Does anyone on here have any advice as to whether i'm doing the right thing?

None of us can make that decision for you hunni, it's got to be your decision and you should be 100% positive that it's the right thing for YOU.

i've been in and out of counselling/therapy due to depression and body issues for years and finally feel that I can change this one part of me that bothers me so much! Would really appreciate any advice :)

I wouldn't bank on a boob-job changing how you feel babe, it may help, it may not so you should be prepared for that, having a boob-job will change your body shape and maybe give you a little more confidence than you had previously, but it's not going to change who you are inside sweetness, you'll still be you hunni, so just be aware of that Hi :) 571992

Enjoy the forum hun - This part of the forum is for introduction only, so if you have any other questions just fire away on the 'General Breast Augmentation' section of the forum. xx

Hi Hun

Welcome to the site and I believe the wonderful ladies have already given you some good advice xxxx

Good luck with your decision hun, it's natural to feel nervous during the whole process, I've just had my 3rd BA and you'd think I'd be kinda ok with it but I was more nervous than ever. All went well though and with the support of the lovely ladies I felt that for me personally my decision was the right one. Just do lots of research and think through every decision. xxxx

Thanks everyone for all your advice :) had the call from my PC and she said other people wanted the date I had put on hold so did I want it, so I went ahead and booked :) feeling a lot more positive and also know that I have another month before the op to prepare myself! Am now so excited!

Cookie - Thanks for your advice, sorry I thought this was the General Breast Augmentation section! And as for the back size i've always been between a 30/32 depending on where I shop so i'm not expecting that from a BA :)

Hey,
My date is in less than 48 hours time and I'm freaking out so it IS normal to be nervous and to doubt whether it's the right thing to do. It's a massive step that will likely make you more self-conscious until you get used to it and it becomes normal, so prepare for this fact, expect panicky thoughts initially and try to keep an outlook towards the long run.
I'm glad to hear that whatever issues you had, you came through them. If your breast size has always bothered you then I'm sure that you will be happy after doing this.
I wish you all the best!
