Sleeping after BA
So I know it's a completely different time in the UK but here where I am it is almost 2 am and I just woke up and I'm wide awake! Same thing happened yesterday.. I woke up at 3 am and was wide awake til almost 10 am When I got my first nap.. What the heck!! Usually I'm such a hard sleeper I sleep 8+ hours a night and nothing wakes me up.. What's going on with me? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not in much pain so I don't want to take anything that will make me sleepy if I don't need it.. I hope this is just a phase! I love my sleep :-/

Re: Sleeping after BA
Hey huni. I had this too! It lasted about 3 weeks after my ba. I NEED at least 8 hours sleep a night. And normally once I'm asleep that's it.
But those forst 3 weeks I woke up between 3am and 4am. I even went to bed a lot later (midnightish) and yet I STILL woke up dispite being sooooo tired! I was never in pain or uncomfortable so still have no idea why I woke up.
I thought Its prob coz my body has had the rest it needed as I sat on the sofa or in bed all day! Xxxx
It does wear of hun xxxxxx

Yeah, it is just a phase hun, the swelling although you may not be feeling pain due to the painkillers may be enough to switch your body on and say "HEY... GET UP!" LOL Just nap whenever you can hun, the lack of sleep plays havoc with your mind and don't be surprised if because of this the 'Boobie Blues' soon hit you when you cry uncontollably for no particular reason...
All the joys of the boobie journey hun, it's not easy, but it will pass

Hiya. I've been having this too and its driving me mad! I have 4 children so I'm always completely worn out by early evening but I find I either can't sleep when I get to bed or I wake up after a couple of hours and can't get back to sleep! I'm 10 days post op now so hoping it will pass soon. I'm happy to hear I'm not alone though and its just a side effect! X x

Ya I thought I was the only one. I would wake up at 3 am and watch tv and wont get back to sleep until 7 am. It was frustrating. It went back to normal once I wnt back to work though.
