symmetry - having different size implants
I've been to see my surgeon to get measured a couple of weeks ago and he said my boobs are significantly different and that I will need different size implants. He suggested either 300 and 340 or 340 and 380. Has anyone here got different size implants and what is the symmetry like now?
I have a problem with the size of my boobs anyway because they are so small but the fact they are different sizes makes me hate them even more!!
The surgeon did say that they will never be exactly the same but I'd like them to be even just a bit similar haha

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
Hi Hun,
I am only 2 days post op but I had different size implants 270 in one and 330 in the other. They look much more even although as they settle I will get a better idea. My boobs being different sizes and small really got to me! Xxx

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
Awww sweetie, don't feel bad about the asymmetry! My surgeon told me that NO ONE's boobs are EXACTLY the same. That said, not everyone has asymmetry. I have it, because one side of my rib cage got crushed when I was little. So one boob sits about 2 inches IN, making it look smaller and also affectine projection.
My surgeon used only 23 cc's different in the implants, telling me to expect to always have some asymetry, and it was normal, and no one is totally perfect. I can hardly tell the sifference now, even with my ribcage the way it is! Neither can my sister or anyone who sees my pics.
Chin up darling.

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
I havent had my BA yet but i am also very significantly different! Its been very hard too as i've hidden it from EVERYONE...family and partners :( BUT now that i've let it out, i feel 100% better because i can get a boob job YAAAAAY...
My left boob is a full B cup and my right is not even an A!
Im not too sure what size my implants will be BUT they are the filler ones, so my surgeon will fill them as much as she thinks looks right hehe
Im sure that your surgeon will do a great job in making them look perfect for you.

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
Hi hun
At my 1st consultation my PS said he would use a different size in each of my boobs, then on my 2nd (last) consultation he said he was now gonna take some breast tissue out of my larger breast & use the same sized implant in both boobs. I just wondered if anyone else had this done as i've not heard of it?

hi tekarma
i havent even heard of it before... do you prefer that?? or would you rather different implant sizes??
im sure your surgeon knows what he's doing but did he discuss it with you and tell you why he choose this option instead??

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
I had 485 in my right boob and 450 in my left. My assymetry wasn't noticeable before my BA but my ps said it would be noticeable if i had same sized implants. It's quite common to have different sized implants and mine look exactly the same size now. Your surgeon will probably use a saline sizer during the op to determine which sizes create the best symmetry xx

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
I am 18days post op with very different sized implants. Left has 360 and right has 270.unders.
I'm very happy with results, a vast improvement! But my lefty is tighter and higher at the moment, because of the bigger implant in that side. I know when this all relaxes and settles, my new boobies will be nice and even.finally....! Best decision I've ever made..!

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
I had different size implants.
I'm very happy with the results...I'd say the size that was smallest before is now ever so slightly larger! It doesn't bother me one bit. I doubt anyone would notice unless they saw them without a bra and really had a good look and I was a really awkward case because not only were they different sizes but they were completely different shapes. They now look pretty much the same.
Don't look for perfection - look for improvement.
I don't regret it one bit!

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
I forgot to mention my ribcage is funny on one side too, it sticks out more whereas the other side goes round like normal.
I know that even with implants there will be a slight difference in my boobs but i think the difference I have now is a lot more noticeable because they are small. thanks for all your replies I see there are a few people with the same situation as me!

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
I am the same small boobs and hate them even more from the asymmetry, I have a large b and an a cup, I am looking to get a ba done to mainly make them symmetrical, does anyone have advice on good surgeons for correcting asymmetry? thankyou

Did you have overs or unders? And apart from needing different sized implants did you get any other problems? I have a similar problem with my ribs, on one side mine dip in rather than out meaning I have a B cup on one side and an A cup on the other. My PS has warned me my ribs might swallow up most of the implant on one side and unders would be too unpredictable so just wondered how you got on as it doesn't seem to be common!

Re: symmetry - having different size implants
Hiya I posted this thread last year when I was having my first consultations and have since decided to go with MYA and not Transform where I went last year. My surgeon Mario Russo says that I wont need different sized implants because they can make the problem worse. Basically the boob with the bigger implant will have the skin more stretched and the one with the smaller implant will look totally different. Unless you have pretty obvious assymmetry apparently it's not the right thing to do. He seemed to think mine will be fine with the same size in each..
I havent had my surgery yet, it's booked for the 9th May and I'm getting either 340/380 or 410cc.
I'm not saying that different sized implants would be wrong for you because everyone is different, but I would say go and have consultations at different places because I got different information from different surgeons. So confusing!! good luck xx

Letfreedomsing, my PS told me the exact same thing yours did. It totally made sense when he explained it to me, and I hadn't thought of it that way xxx
