Re: bra sizing chart
Do you mean an online site to help work out your bra size sweetness?
If so, I wouldn't bother hun, they're all rubbish and not worth you taking the time to find them hun. Most who use these sites go into a panic because they get a measurement that's all wrong for them, usually a lot smaller than they actually measure.
I'd wait till you're ready to be 'fitted' into your bra for your size babe. I say 'fitted' because being measured for bras is long gone now hun and proven that that method had women wearing the wrong sized bras for years!
When your boobs are healed, you'll be fitted into a bra, this means you'll be asked what size bra you're currently wearing, they'll then bring a few bras of a few different sizes for you to try - no measuring involved - The right bra will fit snugly on the bust and rest flat against the chest between your breasts and the straps will be comfortable so as not to get any rise at the back of your bra.
You'll be amazed when you get fitted hun at how comfortable your bras are and how differently they feel. xx

Re: bra sizing chart
Thanks. According to Wonder Bra chart I wear a 34c. I am 29 around the rib cage and 37 around the bust.
The bra does not lay flat between my breasts. I have always thought that was because I have a wide space between them.
I also noticed while bra shopping that a lot of bras in D cup don't start until 36 band. It is crazy hard to find a bra. It is too early for a bra fitting but I need something to wear now. I am also parinoid that if I buy the wrong bra I will mess my boob job up. Crazy I know.

Not crazy at all babe.
You should follow the post-op instructions given to you by YOUR surgeon. You'll often read conflicting advice that other women get from their surgeons in respect to their recovery, but the only advice you should be following is that which YOU paid for babe.
If your surgeon has advised you wait a specified amount of time till you wear wired bras to get the best from your recovery then I suggest you do that hun, after all, you paid a hell of a lot of money for your new boobs and for the surgeon whose advice you chose to follow - I know how impatient we can get when we just want to jump into that final step, but it's just not a risk worth taking in my opinion sweetness untill you get the all clear from YOUR surgeon after he/she has assessed the healing of your breasts.
If you need something to wear now, but have been instructed not to wear wired bras now, then it's best to work around the bra you have to wear hun, we've all been there and all done it sweetness and we've all managed after a bit of effort to still look good wearing our sportsbras xxx

Re: bra sizing chart
Ladies ~ I don't want to hijack Candycain's thread but rather add to it....
I am so lost, I was a bra dunce to begin with because I only bought bras for padding and to make my shirts fit right. Sometimes I would come home in pain realizing that my bra underwire had crased the middle of my boob all day (so I was making the straps too shprt, trying to life my little boob as much as possible....)
Anyway, I don't know how to buy bras! All my PS told me was I could "ditch the Granny (surgical) bra." He measured my ribcage at 31 inches, I used to wear 32 band size and when I was swelling, it was around a 34.
OK. So I went to Victorias Secret last night, just for one or two soft bras to wear till I can buy "real ones." (My PS didn't forbid underwires, but I am avoiding them and also not buying a whole new bra wardrobe for a couple of MONTHS, based on the feedback I read on this forum about the changes yet to come.) I think I should be a 32 band, but I could only find 34's in a D (which is what they fit into right now, of course at this one store). Still, they don't fit perfectly.
~Am I supposed to be (based on my stats) in a smaller band but different cup?
~What do YOU ladies do in my situation, when the cup size only comes with a band size that's too big? Do you order them all in? (I didn't do that cause I couldn't try the size on till after I ordered it, darn it.)
~The 34's fit okay, comfortably, though maybe not exactly the right size. I was hoping those would be ok for support and coverage till around 6 months, when I get that proper "fitting" that Cookie described. Does wearing a too-big band size cause problems when it comes to support? (I have it on the last hook so it is the smallest it can get.)
Sorry to be so absolutely and completely clueless. I went into this knowing nothing and have no one else to ask! And I paid a lot for my boobies (like we all did) and waited for them for so long, I will do anything to protect them. Smile.
Thank you, lovely ladies! Xxxxxxxxx

Re: bra sizing chart
It's not difficult to find the bras you need hun, you just need to know where to look
Bravissimo are excellent, Debenhams also do quite a few ranges such as Freya, Gorgeous and Fantasise, If there are any specialist lingerie shops near you they usually stock bras with small bandwidths and larger cups. (UK)
Victoria Secrets will also have a good selection.
If you're looking online, try Figleaves, they're great for a good selection of bras. xx

Re: bra sizing chart
Thank you Cookie!!!!!
I did NOT know where to look, and I have never heard of those stores. But again, I never needed anything but a bunch of padding (my tiny boobs would fit into anything and never needed support because they were nonexistent), and I have been known to even swing by WalMart for a bra in a pinch. (I am so embarrassed to admit that, haha.)
I copied your store names into my search engine and saved the websites. You are a Doll!!!!! Thanks hunny! Xxxxxx

Re: bra sizing chart
Thanks for all the info ladies! I guess speciality stoes it is. I too have been prone to popping by Walmart for a cheap bra.

Re: bra sizing chart
I think cos you girls are in the States/Canada, you won't be able to find these stores unless they do international shipping. I think your best bet is to try a department store. It's not really sexy underwear you're looking for, more supportive everyday bras until you can really dress them up once they've settled.
Also, CC, I've heard you cannot measure augmented boobies like natural ones, something to do with them not squishing into the cups. If this helps, I measure 26-27 inches rib cage and 34 inches bust which would make me a 30D or a 32B but I'm wearing a 30E bra and a 30DD is too small and feels like I'm being crushed.
Just go with what feel best until they settle x
