Re: Help Im new!!
Hello there cookie, well I was wanting to know what it generally means when your pct refers you to a clinical psycologist's? I've been for a body scan n measurements. Then my case has been passed onto clinical priorities committie to decide if I'm a exceptional case or not. I was just wondering if thats a positive sign? for replying

Re: Help Im new!!
Not having had my surgery through the NHS I really wouldn't know hun, but I presume, if you've been approved to go through to the next stage it would be 'hopeful'
We don't have a whole lot of NHS BA ladies here, but we do have a few hun. so be patirnt sweetie, someone will be along with NHS experience soon babe.
Good luck! xx

Re: Help Im new!!
Hi Chrissy, welcome to the forum.
I wasnt in pain as such more discomfort, but I had to do nothing for a little over a week as my husband and sister were brilliant. I didnt have little kids to look after though so was easier for me xx

Re: Help Im new!!
HY there Vonny 86,
As long as you've been completely honest as in how it effects you every day, confidence and depression etc you should be ok. My GP wrote a letter to the PCT to approve me and they did, I then had to go 4a body scan of the top half, now because I am so small and petite, I didnt meet the PCT's general criteria for BA so my case has been forwarding to the Clinical Priorities Committie (these are the guys who decide whether you are an exceptional case & if it is effecting you psycologically). They had a meeting last month & decided that I need to be referred to a clinical pyscologist, now my GP says this is good that they have done this. So I am really looking 4ward to this appointment cos if the pysycologist supports my case & agrees that I will benefit from a BA. Then its fulll steam ahead to see a surgeon whoo! Cant wait worst thing about it is waiting, but will be well worthit in the end. I am a 32 aa by the way, I hate it, I feel like a teenager & Im 25 tommorow 4 gods sake!!
I dont think you will have a problem getting funding going by what you have said is the prob. But I think it boils down to where you live at the end of the day, apparently where I live their very generous but with credit crunch and everything going on at the min, I dont know, will soon find out.
& gud luck with your referral to the surgeon hun xxx

Re: Help Im new!!
Same age as me hun, but I had my 25th yesterday.
I know how you feel about not feeling like a woman. I'm completely flat with pitiful 32aa's, didnt think about it as a teenager but as i was a teenager I thought nothing of it, ( I thought they'd sprout later). After having 2kids myself, I havnt gained anything on the top half n it 'naughtyword' me off to be blunt n knocks my confidence. Hope I get it done, just cant wait to see the clinical psycologist & get the ball rolling. Hope u r successful too hun with your surgeon appointment. Keep me posted on how you get on. Take care for now xxx

Now my doctor has to make a claim for the funding and fingers crossed i get accepted. It gonna take up to 2 months to do but they told me to ring my docs 6-8 weeks from now and see whats going on.. But he did also tell me not to get my hopes up as this goverment has mades cuts for the breast implants side of things. it is hard not to get excited ARRRR its gonna be a long 2 months lol. hows you getting on any luck with the clinical psycologist..?? xx
