BA and menstruation???
Hi girls!
I'm booked on 6th of May and just calculated that I will get period that day. Is it ok to go under the knife or should I change dates. I'm begining to panic now :)))

Re: BA and menstruation???
I got my period on the day of my BA, it came early- I've got the worst luck ever! It's fine though it doesn't affect the op so dont worry. x

I don't think you can use tampons when you go into theater hun, not sure how that effects you though. x

Re: BA and menstruation???
Maybe you should ring your clinic and check. You have to wear paper knickers for your op, and wont be very nice for you if you cant wear tampons. I know that I wouldn't have liked to have my time of the month on top of the op and recovering for the first few days.
Good Luck with it all hun. xxx

Re: BA and menstruation???
I started my period on the morning of my op and it was fine hun. I only bleed lightly so wearing a pad didn't bother me. xxx

Re: BA and menstruation???
Yeah, it's fine babe.
As Pinkbabe said, you wont be allowed to wear a tampon during your surgery, so take a sanitary towel with you, or they will provide you with one. It's not a problem at all though. xx

I had my period when I had my op, and was allowed to use a tampon, I was also allowed to wear my own knickers. They had to be cotton though.

Re: BA and menstruation???
I have pretty bad back and tummy aches so I stayed was on the pill and didn't take the sugar pill just to make sure I didn't have to deal with PMS as the same time as all the other anxiety and pain that I would be going through
