Splitting headache Empty Splitting headache

Post by Plinkabob 17th March 2011, 7:50 pm

So I have had a head ache all day. I am starting to think it is from the Arnica tablets I have been taking. Does anyone else have any experience with these??? Should I not be taking them? I felt fine until I started on them.

I have recently taken Arnica, not for a BA, but for a massive bruise I had from cycling. And I never experienced any headaches. I know sometimes I get a headache if I am dehydrated. It seems simple but I forget to drink water, and after a big glass I usually feel better. But I do wonder, what is Arnica anyways? shrug

Hi hun , if I'm right in that you are two days post op I'd say it's prob more likely to be affects of GA and dehydration . I took arnica with no problems but know for first three days felt headachey and nauseous from GA . Hope you feel better soon x

I took arnica for a couple of weeks with no problems. I'd say it's more likely to be after effects of GA and dehydration. Lots of fluids and rest should help.

So basically I'm having a massive hang over from the GA? It was so bad last night that I had to go throw up. The pain in my head was immense. Do you have any idea when it might end?

Check this link for more details about Arnica. I created a sort of poll about the potential benefits of taking Arnica [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Plinkabob, I would doubt it is the Arnica (unless you have been overdosing with it). However as you are 3 days post op, you should be fine to stop taking it. My surgeon told me to start taking it 3 days before and to continue until 4 days after.

I am actually feeling great now. It could have been the antibiotics aswell. Last time I took some of those I felt sick. I'm all better now though and I can't say I have experienced the dreaded morning boob. I must say, apart from getting the dressings taken off (I have a massive fear of plasters), morning boob was my biggest worry. I haven't had it yet though.....

Awwww you'll be fine getting your dressings off hun, the nurses at the clinics are very gentle, don't worry.

Glad to hear the headache has now gone and you're not experiencing morning boob ( Lucky you!)

Enjoy te rest of your recovery sweetness and congrats on the new additions! xx

So glad you are feeling better!! Im the same as you in regards to getting plasters off and I always seem to get reactions too which sucks :( My biggest fear with getting the BA is getting plasters removed and having drains removed.
I hope the rest of your recovery goes well :-)
