Rashy incisions.... Empty Rashy incisions....

Post by Laurametcalf 16th March 2011, 9:24 pm

Hey ladies,

I saw PS tonight to check on it a rash that I've recently developed under my boobs all over the incisions and under my arms. It's sore, bumpy and very itchy!! Driving me crazy....so he said it's an allergic reaction to the skin glue, I need to take piriton and go braless as much as possible to let it air. He said the bras are making it worse and will rub it raw if I keep wearing them 24/7. I thought I was supposed to wear it at all times? especially at night. Plus whenever I don't my boobs really ache. He said they might ache but it's the only way to get rid of the rash, and if it gets too bad then the treatment is sterioids - which I deffo don't want!

Has anyone else experienced this? Fingers crossed it will go soon! Xx

Rashy incisions.... Empty Re: Rashy incisions....

I had a reaction to the big plasters they put on right after surgery was very itchy and looked very red when i had it took off at day 10. but i dont think it was anythin serious for me as it just went on its own had some bacterial cream given to me where one of my incisions was a bit open and had to wear my steri strips a bit longer.
I often didnt wear a bra when i wanted my boobs to settle abit more thought it would help them drop hasnt seemed to do no harm, i also went bra less for 10 days after surgery an found that i got used to the weight of them quickly. If its what your surgeons suggests you should be fine, going bra less alot over a long period of time might have an effect on them but just untill the rash goes i imagine you would be fine
