Getting overs with only an A cup?
I was really surprised when my surgeon told me I could have overs, he said I have enough breast tissue and the recovery is quicker, as is the operation. I'm hoping he isn't saying this just to give himself an easier time! I'm only a 34A and after haing 2 kids my breast tissue isn't as it was before pregnancy. I went upto a C cup after the births of my boys and they looked really stretched then! Can't imagine getting them to go upto a D cup and look 'natural' which is what I want.
Any thoughts?

Aww, Michael is a sweetie hun and if he said you will be fine with overs, you should be able to trust him.
I said I would prefer overs, but he said he would only do unders for me because I have thin skin and with so little breast tissue to start with he was concerned that the edge of the implant would show and that I would be less susceptible to rippling with unders.
So it's not that he just wants an easier time, it's because he thinks you are a suitable candidate for overs.

I was really surprised too hun. I'm really flat, and I've breastfed two kids, so when my surgeon told me I could potentially have round overs I was really shocked, but he did the pinch test and he was pretty sure.
I still didn't like the look of it when he held it up to me though, so we went for anatomicals unders instead lol.

Oh thats helped alot, thankyou both. :good:
I was just expecting to get unders. I hope I do get overs! Michael seemed nice, will I get to see him again before the day of my op? Do you have your story on here Carol, it would be great for me to read it, seen as I'm going to the same place as you and with the same surgeon x

Yes, you can request to see him again hun if you want to ask him some questions (I did), but he always comes round to see you before your surgery anyway to make sure everything is OK for you.
Yes my story is in the Diary's section hun - I've posted a link to it in the March Buddies thread in answer to you there.

I had overs from an A cup and I have been fine I have no complications or rippling and you can't see the ridge of my implant.
Re: Getting overs with only an A cup?
I was a 34b although 1 boob was much smaller than the other so that one wasnt really a B and I had 390 & 420 overs, I am now 34DD/E and look fairly natural. I thought I would perhaps need unders but thankfully didnt xx

hey minxy106
tickertracker.com is where you will find making your ticker. And I will try to find you the link to the calender so you can add your name to that.
Also, that's great that your surgeon is the same as Carol's. That must put your mind at ease big time!

Re: Getting overs with only an A cup?
hiya hun
your surgeon knows best as they have seen more boobs than an international playboy lol but if you have any concerns ask for a second opinion or go to another company.
at the end of the day its your money and with overs you can go bigger first time than with unders so thats a result. i always had unders never had a choice just not enough there and thin skin.

Re: Getting overs with only an A cup?
If you're worried about your surgeon just giving you overs because it's easier (it is an easier op) then have a few conults with other surgeons. You don't have to go with them, but you'll get a good idea of what your body can take.
