Time for a little help from my friends PLEASE
Ok ladies I need a little help and advise if you dont mind please.
I am going on Wednesday to see my PS (Mr Liew).
Taking my mum with me this time. Is there any question I should ask, or any little/big things to find out. Generally any thing at all you think I should know before I have my op. This will be my last appointment with him before the surgery so any thoughts from experience or other wise can only help me I am sure.
Plus I pretty much have question but forget them so I will be sitting writing all your ideas down.
Thank you all for your time and help x

It's a list of all the questions you should be asking your PCC and surgeon - available from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
There is a slightly more up to date one (but I don't think Roxy has posted it up in the forum yet). If you need a copy which you can print out, PM me and I'll send you the PDF version.

H hun, I think Carol's covered this for you and it's good your mum's going too, she may have some questions or concerns of her own.
Let us know how you get on....x

Yeah Angbaby my mum is a big question lady, she will think of loads of questions over really small things at the best of times, but the main reason I am taking her is many years ago she worked in hospitals and although she doesn't know the ins and outs nowadays it does help. Plus my eldest has a few heath problems and has had many operations and she will sit there asking questions until she is happy she knows everything she wanted to know. Where as I ask a few but then give in as I always think of the person that might be waiting outside to be seen and I am holding them up I feel guilt so get out as soon as possible

Ask as many questions as you need hun, after all you're paying alot of money for this.
Mr Liew is great, he doesn't rush you at all.
Good luck for Wednesday, let us know how it goes.

Well it sounds like she'll be a big help then hunnie. Don't ever be afraid of taking up your PS's time though, that's what he's there for and the 'other' person waiting outside has paid the same as you for his attention during the consultation, so STOP feeling guilty.....
