Re: Scar pain
Not a silly question hun - I promise
Yes pain in your incision is quite normal as your nerves have been damaged/ cut, the good new is that these niggles and shooting pains are actually the nerves knitting back together, so it means you are healing nicely

Well, first of all, there is no such thing as a silly question - if you are worried about it, then it's a serious question which needs addressing.
It is all fairly normal at this stage sweetheart - you will experience all sorts of tweaks, itches, sharp stabbing pains, dull throbbing pains during this phase of your recovery and is all part of the natural healing process. The main thing to really worry about if there is any discharge from the scars or if they start to feel hot as that is a sign of a possible infection starting and would need treatment with antibiotics.

Re: Scar pain
I had some tight sharp burning pain on my scars. I remember thinking that the weight of the implant was causing pressure on my incisions! All gone now though :good:

I've healed completely hun but still have twinges and major sensitivity in my left boob, but it's all quite normal having spoken to my PS, time is a healer and unfortunately we just have to be patient...xx

Re: Scar pain
I am still having sharp pains in my boobs occasionally from nerves healing, it literally takes my breath away sometimes. I've heard it can take a year for your nerves to fully heal.
No silly questions hun, we all had them at some point.

Re: Scar pain
you'll probably get them 12 months after surgery, I know I felt the odd twinge around then. Nothing to worry about.
Re: Scar pain
Hiya, so glad I found this almost month old thread...Thanks for posting, Diamond!
I am having a related concern...
I am now 11 days post-op and find that my scars are both tender and raised. It makes sense that the tenderness comes from the nerves healing as suggested above, but is it normal or does it make sense for the scars to be so raised at this stage of healing? The raised part is probaby 1/2 cm across..very wide and runs about the entire length of the inframammary scar.
I am hoping that this is just me being overly worried it's all normal, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask! The width of the raised part is what is kind of concerning!
Thanks so much!!!
