Re: omg its dawned on me that this is real!!!
Hi I went to tramform abbey riverside I was given op time / admission time at my pre op . The staff & nurses there could not have done more for me I didn't request anti sickness as I didn't feel sick but I'm not sure if I was given any routinely . I think I was only under GA for around 30 minutes but I have no recall of the recovery room my first recolection is being back in my bed in my room with the nurse there with me ( very strange ) . I couldn't recommend the place or staff more , I stayed overnight and could not have been looked after better xx best of luck

I too have no recollection of being in the recovery room (Dolan Park), I just woke up in my bed with a nurse and my carer in the room and vaguely remember the carer saying to the nurse (or was it the other way round??) "She's coming round now" and then I dosed off again. I was like that for most of the afternoon, with the 'naps' becoming shorter and shorter throughout the day.
The implants are made from a material which is hypo-allergenic and if you consider the hundreds and hundreds of us on this site alone who have been through this procedure without any allergic reactions to the implant, then it is extremely unlikely that you will have a problem.

Sorry, that should have been 'dozed off again' not 'dosed off again'

Like carol says, so many people have had silicon implants without any problems, it's highly unlikely that you will be allergic to them. Allergan is the name of the range of implants hun.
I went with Transform and was given an op time, but that changed on the day, they sent me a pack saying when to be at the hospital about 2 weeks before my op. Don't think I had anti-sickness meds but can't remember being in recovery so they may have done at that point. I came round back in my room about 2 hours after being taken down to theatre but spent the day dosing on and off.

Don't worry sweetheart, these little panic attacks are all quite normal beforehand.

Re: omg its dawned on me that this is real!!!
Allergan is just a brand name, but they use a silicone elastomer shell and this is a hypoalergenic material. It is very rare for someone to be allergic to their implants. Don't panic or worry, you will be fine.
Re: omg its dawned on me that this is real!!!
I weirdly asked my nurse how long I'd been under, it was for some reason one of my first questions and she said 1hr and 15 mins, that sounded pretty quick to me, and I threw up when they gave some water straight after so someone came within about 10mins to give me anti sickness drugs which worked a treat and was totally fine after that. Re: omg its dawned on me that this is real!!!
I remember coming round, being in the lift when they were taking me to my room, and calling my OH to say I was ok, but apart from that I was pretty monged out. I wasn't sick, they gave me enough morphine to deal with the pain, I even went shopping and for a burger afterwards!
They see sooooo many girls day in day out, and when you compare a BA to a much more invasive procedure like a tummy tuck, they're all trained to deal with any eventuality.
If being sick worries you tell that anaesthetist who you'll see before you go under that you'd like some anti sickness meds. They'll be happy to give you them.
