Rush hour trains & New boobs combo
Hi Everyone,
I don't mean to exclude anyone - I'm sure trains are a pain in the backside all over the world!
But for anyone who has experienced the crush of the central line on the London Underground at 8.30 am (or anyone who regularly gets squashed to within an inch of your life trying to get to work in the morning) I'd be particularly interested to see how you'd think I'd cope 10 Days post Op.
I'm having overs so I hear this heals faster (putting a deposit down any day now) and I've been told I should be fine to go back to work after 10 days. But the part I'm dreading isn't work...it's the commute! Getting a seat is rarely an option and I'm small and easy to squish (I'm frequently used as a coffee table for idiot men in suits looking to rest their morning paper on someones head while they have a good read). Not to mention being on the short side normally means arm ache trying to hold on to the bars when I'm perfectly healthy. I'm worried I'm going to do myself a mischief going into rush hour after just 10 days. It'd probably take me ages to get to work waiting for a less crowded carriage to appear...
Did anyone else have to deal with this after their BA?

Re: Rush hour trains & New boobs combo
I was in London last week and I can honestly say I hated the tube, and how busy it was, and that was at 11pm!!!!
I utterly sympathise with you having to go through that ordeal not long after your op. I hope someone can be more specific with their advice but 10 days sounds like a really short amount of time to be shoved about on a tube (I'm still pre-BA though so I could be wrong!!)
Good luck hun!!!!

I didn't have to deal with travelling to work at 10 days, but I had to get the tube for my one week check, I actually found it ok, you just have to make sure you can brace yourself against a wall or pole cos it's not possible to reach up. xx

I was a Central liner at 9:30am girl at the time of my op *high five* and I took two weeks off! Couldn't bear the thought of idiots who get on at Bank squishing me to within an inch of my life!
You should be ok, try to stay near the doors so you don't have to fight your way through the morons who stand like statues and don't move out of the way to let anyone off/on.
