Fitting in Dress? Bra/No Bra?
Hey ladies,
So my boyfriends brothers wedding is 4 weeks after my BA. I have found a dress by fluke and it is a one shoulder dress. Firstly i'm hoping my boobs will fit in it (think ive decided on 460) :boobchick: and secondly i cannot wear the sports bra!! The dress is toooo nice!! (looks nicer on i promise!) Do you think i can go a day without a bra? Or do you think i can find a non wired strapless or something?
I have added the link so you can see the dress. Let me know what you think.
Im size 10 by the way.

Hi Rae10,
Although I cant help you on that, im also in exactly the same position. Im at a wedding 3weeks post op and I dont want to be in a poloneck jumper either!!!
My plan was to wear a dress and sports bra in the day and in the evening get changed and try and go without.
xx

Hey girls,
I struggle with oasis as it is now, I'm a size 10 and I struggle to get my boobs in pre BA I'm a C cup. So I'd suggest you go try it on now...
Or maybe I'm just a funny size! I have to same prob with H&M dresses xxxx

id go for it and either have no bra or a strapless one. I think the wonderbra strapless one is non wired, but youd have to see how your incisions felt by then

Hi,
I'm pre BA so sorry I can't offer any advice regarding whether you'll be ready but the dress is gorgeous. I have a couple of oasis dresses and they all fit a bit differently on my bust area.
Have you tried it on as you are now? Will you still be swollen or might they have gone down a little by then?

If youre having unders youll be fine, i didnt wear a bra AT ALL for first 6 weeks (some surgeons recommend this) so even if youre says wear a bra youll be fine for one night, obviously this is only MY opinion from my own experience :) you should always check with your clinic x

Re: Fitting in Dress? Bra/No Bra?
One shoulder fitted dresses seem to be the only thing so far that I can't fit my boobs in to, it makes the whole dress look wonky and ill fitting somehow.
As far as going braless I'm sure you'd be fine, I've always heard it's better to go braless for a while than sqeeze in to a wired bra too soon. xx

Re: Fitting in Dress? Bra/No Bra?
Hey girls, i'm having overs.
Lola-I have tried the dress on already and it looks just fine just hope my boobs will fit!! Although i'm actually a 8 on top its my bum and thighs that make me have to wear a 10 if its a dress. So maybe it will actually fil it out!
Thank you mumoftwo26! I think i will try a strapless worst case ill just keep the dress and if it doesn't fit ill have to find a dress that covers the bra!
I will search for a strapless or go bra less!!! (i've never even dreamed of going bra less with these PRE BA boobs) looool!!!
thanks girls

The dress is lovely. I personally dont get on with one shoulder dresses they don't flatter my shape. I think going braless would be ok but maybe check with your clinic. x

Re: Fitting in Dress? Bra/No Bra?
im nearly 4 weeks post op and im going bra less tomorow night
its my best mates birthday and im wearing a strapless maxi dress. Was gona go for a non wired strapless bra but incisions still slightly tender and all the ones i tried rubbed on them
Boobs are still a little high so its gona look like im wearing a push up bra anyway, and they feel quite comfortable without bra
you should both be ok to go without but defo check
hope this helps x

Re: Fitting in Dress? Bra/No Bra?
I'm having real trouble fitting my boobs into 'fitted' dresses now.. I went to Lipsy yesterday and couldnt fit in to ANY of the ones I tried!!
Hopefully I'll find something though... there should be a store for women who are still slim but have had boob jobs lol!!

Oh gosh! Im praying they will fit lol! What size were you before hun? Do you think your size looks really big in comparison to your frame? Im small size 8 in tops so hopin 460 will be okay.
I like lipsy dresses i just find them toooo short for weddings lol!! I hope you find 1 though! Try oasis or warehouse? Xxx

Lol, that's a great idea :-)
Do you usually by the dresses bigger and then get them fitted?

Re: Fitting in Dress? Bra/No Bra?
I had a similar situation. Got the strapless wonderbra which has a really soft band. It is underwired but it is so safe and secure it was fine. I wore this for a whole day and evening three and a half weeks after my operation. I still had the micropore tape over my scars but this was all and was fine. Good luck!
