Post by xx sharon xx 17th February 2011, 12:53 am

Hi... wavey...havnt been on here for a while but in meantime i have had a re-op to remove a ruptured pip implant and a full capsulectomy due to cc. I also had a pretty bad muscle flex syndrome which i hated.
My surgeon has replaced the 330 pips with 460 nagors (surgeons recommendation). He also relaxed my muscle (pecs i think) to sort out the muscle flex problem. I now have a cleavage and fullness and i love the shape and size.
Surgery was four weeks today and for the last 2 days ive been freaking out because lefty has dropped and feels really soft but righty feels considerably firmer...dont get me wrong, they look pretty much the same (apart from lefty being slightly bigger due to my natural difference)...even my 7 yr old poked at them when i was i having a bath and said righty was 'harder', my hubby also agrees.
My logic is telling me its early days and righty is going to take longer to soften because im right handed. I know the muscle flex problem i had has been mostly rectified but not 100% in my righty, although its sooooo much better.
My paranoia is telling me im developing early signs of capsular contracture again...please let me know your thoughts...xxx

Hi hunnie, 4 weeks is still far to early mine didn't start to soften until 4 weeks and have grown considerably softer over the last month - but I still think there still is considerably more softening to come over the next few months.
It's still very early days yet pet, but if you are still worried, then it won't hurt you to have a chat with your surgeon and he will be able to put your mind at rest Hug

Aw hun I can understand your worry, but as you know 4 weeks is still early. Remember to treat it as two seperate operations done at the same time. It may be that righty needed a little more work than leftie so will therefore take a little longer to heal, but they do catch up and even out. Also as you have had work done on the muscles it can take 6 weeks for a muscle to recover from any trauma.
It does just sound like rightie will just be the stubborn one and take a little longer than leftie to soften up and drop into place.

HIya, I'm sorry you are feeling worried but from what I read on here righty and lefty can drop and soften and different times so I wouldn't worry too much, but for sure ring your clinic and ask for some advice if only to put your mind at rest.

I'm having CC surgery done in May so am interested to hear of your journey, I'll Pm You shortly xxx

Hi Sharon, I can only echo what the girls have said hun, it has only been four weeks and I'm sure if you just give it time your boobs will catch up with each other and be fine.

If we still can't put your mind at ease, there's no harm in ringing your ps for reassurance.

Take care.xx

A big thanks to the members who replied to my post group hug ...I know it makes sense what all of you said and I agree 100% but i just cant shake that niggling worry.
My check up with my surgeon was only 8 days ago (both boobs felt the same then, firm). He was happy with them and said I could stop wearing the
compression bra and to go and get measured.
From research Ive done apparently with a re-aug the boobs soften sooner which my lefty has definatly done.
I think I will take your advice and go to see my surgeon but I wait a week or so to see if there is any change.

Very early days still lovely, so I wouldn't worry too much. Mine felt softer at six weeks post op, and even then it was only 2-3 months later when they really settled into place.
