Re: Shower after areola BA and mastopexy
I think everyone is different, I had these special dressings over top of my incisions that I could get wet because they were waterproof... I cant remember when I got the actual incision wet... maybe at 2 weeks post?
sorry I cant be better help, maybe call your ps and ask.

Re: Shower after areola BA and mastopexy
I had a shower last night...
it was ok, some of the steri strips from the side incisions fell off, but they were anyways because of where they were, so i put new one on (bought some at the local pharmacy), and the ones around the areola stayed on, but i didnt relly let them get wet much, i was careful not to have the shower going on them directly etc, but just having the hot water on my back and washing my hair made me soo much better bc i also have a cold grrrr...

Re: Shower after areola BA and mastopexy
The doctor told me I could have one tomorrow(2 days post-op). I have to take all the bandages off and leave on the steristrips. I have to put neosporin on the areola area and then put a pantyliner in bra to prevent rubbing. I wonder why my doctor said its ok to take a shower two days after and every one else is saying longer.. Please help!
