How long after a boob job can you go swimming? I know it shouldn't matter but I take my 9 month old to swim babies every friday and don't want to miss too many sessions as it will put him back a few steps and he's doing so well - bless him he can swim underwater the little merman!!

I'll feel silly for asking the surgeon this question as I suppose it's not normally at the top of peoples' list of questions and dont want him to think i'm Screwy

Thanks ladies...xx

I think it's generally about 6 weeks, but varies I think depending on how the scars are healing. Definitely best to speak to your surgeon.

How amazing that your baby swims underwater!! xx

I would think you may not feel comfortable swimming untill about 3months, depending if you have unders/overs also on scar healing. I would def. check with your P.S. to be safe. Not a silly question at all xx

I had overs.... and I needed to know the answer to this when I had my BA!

I waited five weeks after my BA, I actually went surfing then and was ok. I had overs though, so less trauma to the muscle etc
