Hey guys im so excited as today is the first day after my op that i have been able to move,brush my hair and get dressed by myself :)
Also im so pleased with them as he managed to go to the size i wanted i just wish they were healed properly so they are not as coned shaped, how long does it take for them to completely drop?
Alot of you said u dint go through hardly any pain,maybe iv been being a wimp but i have been in so much pain since i got home but today it seems to have finally gone woohoo! Im going to see the nurse on saturday for my first check up so hopefully all will go well.
Just a few questions..
How long do you have to wash with a flannel? Also i am wearing a chest band do you think i will have to wear it for more than 2 weeks as its starting to do my head in now? Iv got two parties one at the end of next week and one the following week do you think it is too soon to go out partying,how long did u guys leave it? xxxxxxxxxx

Hey babes first of all congrats.
Everyone is different and it's up to your PS when you can have a shower, i've been told to wait till i see my PS 4 weeks post op and see what he says but i can have shallow baths as long as i don't get my twins wet. As for the chest band i'd ask your PS.
I've only had mine 7 days so can't answer when you should go out but again everyone is different, i've had no pain at all and have been on my feet cleaning etc since 1 day post op so i feel fine to go out, although shopping today totally shattered me out and made me a bit sore, to be on the safe side i'm not going partying till i'm 6+ weeks post op when i know i'm more or less totally heeled.

Hi hunnie, glad you're starting to feel better. Just remember to take it easy for at least a week and then start gradually easing yourself back into things. Doing too much too early can really hamper your overall recovery time.
It can take up to a year for all the changes to take place (including fully dropping) - especially so with unders like you and I have had.
I was told I could take shallow baths from 3 days after the operation, but I had to make sure I didn't get the dressings wet. At my 1 week post op check up, the nurse told me that the incisions were healing well and that I could shower (but no shower gel etc in that area, just clean water) but still not deep baths. It was only at my 4 week post op check up that I was told I could finally have a full bath.
I was told to keep wearing the band (even at over 8 weeks post op) and I shall have to keep wearing it until I see my surgeon at 12 weeks. However, there are certain occasions now that I don't wear it during the day - but it is always worn at night :tears:

Aww congratulations on your new boobs hun!! Glad to hear you've managed to get rid of some of that pain. I'm sure your boobs will settle beautifully over the next couple of weeks, but as Jolene said everyone is different!

I can't give you any more advice myself as I'm pre-ba, but I hope you have a quick recovery and take it easy if you do go out!!

I had my first check up today and she said they are healing fab, i can finally have a shower so excited as sad as that sounds haha!
Im going to give it a miss next week but hopefully i should be okay to go out for the following week as its my bfs birthday, anyone got any tips on what to wear that will look sexy but wont show my sports bra or my nipples as they seem to be really noticable under all my clothes?
Im dying to go bra shopping too, when is that you can start wearing proper bras and get measured?
What size do you reckon i will end up too, i went from a 32a with 340cc unders and am currently wearing a D sports bra? xxxxxxx

First of all congrats hun, good to hear your healing well.

As for the dreaded 'pertruding nipple syndrome' I put some cotton pads over them inside my bra to camaflage the little suckers!!!

I know sportsbra's are not very sexy hunnie, I'm sure whatever you wear you can still achieve a nice shape, even with a 'sporty'......

Yeah i had mine done at dolan park and they were fab they couldnt have done more to make me feel comfortable and welcome. Dr sulaiman is an absolute babe and i warmed to him straight away, he is an amazing surgeon and i had him because i was recommend by 2 other people. I cant say enough good things about him and im sure you will be really pleased with him too.
Im sooooooooooooooooo pleased with mine as he wanted me to go smaller because i am have a small frame size6/8 and i begged him for 340 and they look good already. Are you worrying they are going to be too big or small? xx

Thanks, thats great 2 know. Its a bit far for me but I really liked Dr Suleman and thought Dolan park looked nice 2.
Well Im a size 10 and 5.5 in height. He recommended for me 2 have between 300-340. I dont want massive boobs but at the same time I want a nice pair. Hoping for a full C! I thinking more towards 340's if he can do it! Would rather have them a bit bigger then 2 regret and wanna have them done again later in life.
Im so excited!!!!!!!!!! Got 6 weeks 2 wait!!
Did u have 2 buy a few different sized sports bras 2 take with u? I aint got a clue what I gotta take.

Yeah birmingham was far for me too as i live in manchester but it was defo worth the drive.
I wanted a C at first and he offered me 270 then the day of the surgery i decided i want to go bigger to a D so he said he would try the 340 if they would fit and they did :) Im currently in a D sports bra so im dead happy.
I would defo go for the 340 you dont want to be unhappy with them,bigger is always better :) if he has advised you that they will be a C i would by C and D bras because you will need abit more room after the op to allow room for any swelling but dont worry if the ones you take dont fit they can always give you one and the sports bras are quite stretchy anyway.

So pleased u had urs done at same place by same doc, makes me feel alot less scared!
I live in Romford, Essex, and its 2hours 45min drive 4 me, but gonna go and stay up there the night b4 so can get there early in the morn. So did u have 2 get the early? What time did u get them done? And when did they let u go the next day?
Must be strange 4 u now have boobs! I think it will be crazy, mine are so small and I have always hated them!! Be so good for me, just make me feel more confident and happy! I wont be dreading getting in bikinis anymore, I will be looking 4ward 2 it! lol.

Kirsty, I had my op at Dolan Park too (great place). Admission time is at 7:00 am and you get discharged at around the same time the following day.
I had a driver pick me up and return me - and he arrived at 4am for the journey up there :tears:

I did the same as you Kirsty as its about 2 hrs away from me so i went up the night before and stayed at the Holiday Inn i went down to Dolton Park for 9 and then waited around for ages got told to shower and then Dr Sulaiman came down photographed me talked things threw with me and then i went down to the theatre at around 2, you could be lucky and be the first on the list or you could be like me and have to wait a couple of hours so make sure you take lots of mags. You do have a big flatscreen tv with loads of channels, i was watching wife swap to take my mind of it haha.
The next day they wake you up and give you meds and this cute little guy came a deliverd my breakfast then i got my bf to come for me around half 7.
I am enjoying them loads cant wait to go bra shopping and bikini shopping :)
